3 milkshake and refreshing juice recipes for summer

Surely with the heat, you're already thinking about more refreshing breakfasts and snacks. What better way to have healthy and balanced food in summer than by adding fruit and water to your diet? Here are some recipes of the most popular milkshakes and juices so you can look after yourself in these summer months.  Get ready, here we go! 

1. Cucumber, green apple and lime juice recipe

 

Ingredients:  

  • 1 small cucumber
  • 1 green apple  
  • Lime juice
  • 100 ml water
  • Mint, peppermint or stevia leaves (if you want to add a touch of sweetness)

Method:  

  1. Slice the cucumber and apple.
  2. Put all the ingredients in the blender and mix them together.  
  3. You can add ice cubes if you want to serve it straight away.
  4. To serve in glasses, cut a few slices of your favourite fruit and add a few mint or peppermint leaves, for example. This juice is a little bit bitter, but very cleansing.
  5. To sweeten it up it's best to add a natural product, like stevia leaves, panela or agave syrup.  

2. Pear and papaya milkshake

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 pear
  • ½ papaya
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract  
  • 100 ml water or oat milk

Method:

  1. Wash the fruit and peel it.
  2. Cut the fruit into little pieces and put it in the blender.  
  3. Blend all the ingredients.  
  4. To serve, you could decorate with a slice of fruit and a few vanilla pods

3. Pineapple, grapefruit and ginger milkshake

Ingredients:

  • ½ natural pineapple
  • 1 grapefruit or 1 orange
  • 1 slice of ginger (to taste)
  • 100 ml water  
  • 1 mint leaf  

Method:

  1. Cut up the pineapple.
  2. Squeeze your citrus fruit of choice.
  3. Cut a slice of ginger or grate it if you prefer.
  4. Put all the ingredients in a blender.
  5. Mix everything in the blender until smooth and thick.
  6. The result is a milkshake that is very diuretic, but bitter. You can sweeten it to your taste.
  7. To decorate, use a few mint leaves, fruit slices and an elegant glass.
