Ideas for organising your hallway for summer

We love doing things outdoors, and even more so in the summer! What we don't like so much, is taking indoors all the dirt from our shoes, the sand that has been left on our clothes and toys, or even just water. Don't worry! Your hallway is going to become the perfect ally both for keeping the dirt out of the house and for organising all your belongings. Want to see how? Take note of these ideas!

A hallway for the beach house

Just because we are in love with the beach doesn't mean that we want to take it home with us and fill everything up with sand. One way to avoid this is by having a small place to change as soon as we arrive home. A wall hanger can be a great way to do this, with a spare change of clothes ready to go. You don't have to go to a lot of trouble, just leave something comfortable and light so that on the way to the shower you don't leave a trail of sand and salt water around the house.

A stool can also be very useful as a space to sit and change comfortably, as well as some extra storage place for all your things. You can add some transparent boxes to store all your belongings, such as diving glasses, toys, etc. and set one aside to leave wet swimsuits and flip-flops. This way, you can carry everything straight to the laundry room and avoid any spills.

Also, put some spare towels ready for the next trip to the beach and a box or bag with all the sun protection you need so that you never forget anything before leaving home.

A hallway for outdoor adventures

Even if you live in the city or choose to replace the beach with the mountains, you run the risk of your house looking like a jungle and getting filled with dirt from outdoors. The key to this hallway, designed for a person who loves activities in the great outdoors, for example, are the hangers for jackets, bags and hats, as well as a large shelf on which to store larger objects, such as mats or ropes, and even binoculars. Oh! And for smaller items, as before, it never hurts to sort them into boxes so that they are always at hand and never look disorganised.

Just one more tip: place a doormat or shoe mat for dirty shoes, such as Wellington boots, so you don't leave mud or dirty footprints all over the house.

A hallway for sports gear

Playing any sport (football, rugby, etc.) involves arriving home with a lot of dirty things. The solution, in this case, is to have a wall organiser to arrange the shelves and baskets the way we want them. In this example, we have used our ALGOT storage system. What do you think?

We have dedicated the upper area to helmets and head accessories, so that we can forget about some of the bulkiest and most difficult to store items. The centre will remain separate for the larger items, such as T-shirts, and those items we don't want to forget, such as gloves. Finally, the lower area is reserved for clothes or objects that we want to air out and store, such as shoes or balls that we have put in semi-transparent mesh baskets.

So where do we keep the rackets or bats? We suggest putting everything together in a container and, if you don't have any more space, you can even use the wall and hang everything up, just like we have done with the badminton rackets. It will be much easier to clean everything up if we always put everything in one place.
