A tea break (or several tea breaks throughout the day) is the perfect opportunity to clear your mind and to reflect. That’s why the new range of teas from IKEA is called EGENTID, which in Swedish means “time for you”. The calming flavours are natural and UTZ-certified.
Tea, your way
From tea infusers to measuring spoons and teapots, IKEA has all the gadgets you need to make tea just the way you like it. And now, you can buy your favourite flavours in store, too. EGENTID is a new all-natural series of loose-leaf tea developed to help you enjoy more feel-good moments at home. “It is one of our contributions to a better life at home. A way to improve people’s day-to-day, one cup at a time,” says Malin Ljungström, who helps to develop new tea products for IKEA.
“All EGENTID teas are UTZ-certified. Our global reach means that we have the potential to make a difference in the way teas are grown, adopting more responsible, sustainable practices.”

A cup of conscience
EGENTID is a more sustainable option for tea-time. It is made without any artificial ingredients or preservatives. All teas in the range are UTZ-certified, while the herbal teas are UEBT/UTZ-certified. This means the teas are grown in conditions that ensure that people and planet have been respected. "Through the UTZ-certification scheme, we are able to source tea in a more responsible way," explains Azaliah Mapombere, social impact specialist for IKEA Food. "The scheme ensures that farmers have better working conditions and the opportunity to earn a higher income, leading to better livelihoods for them and their children."
What's your flavour?
There are three different EGENTID blends, one for each mood and time of the day.
Morning The infusion containing fruit, herbs and citronella is a flavourful, energising blend that will help to centre you during the morning.
Midday Our full-flavoured black tea with ginger and elderberry combines Scandinavian and Chinese influences in a perfect reviving lunchtime tea. If you want to soften the powerful taste, add honey and milk.
Evening Our third flavour is mint with cocoa. A refreshing blend with a hint of smooth chocolate, it is a delicious drink to accompany a dessert.
Black, green, rooibos... the new range of EGENTID teas offers a wide selection of flavours and is available in store.
