The beginning of spring, specifically 20 March, is fast approaching. And we don't know whether we'll be longing for the sun's rays, flowers and vivid colours to flood our days, but we can't wait to see which interior design trends will triumph this spring. In the meantime, we have prepared a small preview of some IKEA products we believe are essential for your home to give it that joyful, spring-like touch. This year, we chose one of the star colours of spring: green.
If you have a home with white decor, it would be very easy to introduce a few small strokes of this colour to completely change the ambience of each room. Our designs are an ode to nature, so, as we said, the decorative palette we've chosen for this spring is based on: green (with all its beautiful chromatic variations), white (so as not to lose that freshness and illumination that we like so much) and brown and earthly tones (thanks to the introduction of accessories made from wood and other natural materials).
How about if we start in the bedroom? A change in textiles is the easiest, fastest and – let's be honest – the most affordable alternative if you want to change the design of your home in the blink of an eye and more than once.

This spring, change your bed linen for some cool sheets made of thin, breathable materials. Small spring touches that change your home
Once you fall in love with the world of interior design, it's very difficult not to want to renovate your home as often as you can. In the end it's just like clothes! Changing the style of your home isn't a bad thing, but as we know it's not always that easy. We've created some solutions so that you can bring spring into your home with some small touches.
For example, in the bathroom, you can play with the colour of your towels and bathmats (we've opted for the vivid tones of our VAGSJÖN range). You can change something as simple and subtle as the soap dish or bring in a bamboo box, the perfect place to hold a beautiful and cheerful natural plant.
You can also apply these touches to the rest of your home, for example, by adding a beautiful glass vase (like the VANLIGEN) for some flowers or plants. Take a look at the effect that is achieved when natural light passes through the coloured glass. If you want something bigger, take a risk and change the sofa covers, combine cushions with different prints or lay out a nice rug like the HILDGARD to make the living room even cosier.
Colourful kitchens are also on-trend this spring. Take a risk and change your kitchen cabinet doors to new ones or just give them a lick of paint to freshen up their look. What do you think of this idea?
