Studies show that colours affect our mood and mindset. We were inspired to put the theories into practice. We can’t promise better sleep – but we guarantee some colourful ideas for your bedroom.
A green cocoon of calm
Green tends to make you feel calm. See if it can help you settle to rest at bedtime (if not for you, then maybe overly energetic family members near you). For full effect – or just for the look of it – let a canopy of green textiles envelope the entire bed.
The creative comfort of blue
Blue has a similar calming effect as green, but is also said to raise your creativity. Perhaps a good combination for evening readers? Here we’ve added matching blue-green, soft patterns – and a headboard of hung pillows for extra comfort.
Wake up to a burst of colours
Red, pink and other warm colours can cause feelings of optimism, energy and joy. If you need more help getting up in the morning than falling asleep at night, this may be for you. Simply let your colourful bedroom energise you for the coming day.
