Simple but terrifyingly tasty ideas for your table

When it comes to Halloween, it's not about spending hours decorating. Mónica and her kids share their top decor tricks:

For their decoration, they put red paint on a white tablecloth and cut the edges to give it a tattered look. Then, they hang tights stuffed with cotton over a broomstick above the table – a simple and original idea that enchants the kids.

For their food, Mónica makes "blood" soup by putting tomato soup in a bowl with mozzarella balls and decorates it with witch's fingers: just add green colouring to some mantecado shortbread, shape it into fingers and place an almond on each one as a nail.

"I like decorating the house but without getting too complicated; I'm more about the costumes and sweets",
says Mónica

A Dracula that you will want to hug

Oliver's favourite character is Dracula, the star of the show at Halloween. We helped him make one from a soft toy ball, a white sheet, a cone and a black cloth napkin. Oliver added the finishing touches and painted its face.

Is the party over? Halloween favours for your guests

Not yet. Give your guests a little gift to take home. Fill some small jars with red jelly and put them in the fridge. To make the eyes, wrap a small piece of chocolate in marzipan, make a ball, draw the veins with red icing and add green marzipan for the pupils.
