6 simple ideas to organise your storage
The main function of storage spaces is to maintain order and keep your home uncluttered. If that's not the case, and instead you think they make everything more chaotic, take note. Here are several simple ideas to organise your storage and make the most of it.
1. Put it on show
It's quite common to accumulate many things in no particular order in storage spaces like drawers or boxes. Because their interiors are not visible they are not paid much attention, and although at first you might try to keep them organised, over time everything tends to get mixed together, right?
That's why you should consider transparent storage such as glass jars to store items that can be on show, like paintbrushes, sewing materials, jewellery, makeup or whatever you think of. The effect may be very aesthetically pleasing, and the fact that they can be seen will encourage you to always keep them organised and presentable. Inspired to give it a go?
2. Divide your drawers into compartments
As indicated in the previous point, little attention is paid to organising drawers because they are often out of sight. This means that they accumulate things with no system in place, which makes your life more difficult when you go to look for something. Furthermore, it's hard to see what you have inside the drawers, which may lead you to think that you don't have something and buying new things unnecessarily.
To avoid this, you should consider trays, boxes and dividers. You can use them in almost all drawers throughout the various rooms of your home: to organise clothes, your desk materials, paperwork, kitchen cutlery, bathroom products, tools, etc.
Thanks to this, you'll create perfect order in your drawers and be able to find everything easily.
3. Baskets to organise the pantry
The pantry is another storage space that can become a disaster if neglected. One idea that may help is to use baskets or boxes as compartments to keep everything better organised.
It's best if you can sort according to the type of food (legumes, grains, snacks, etc.), so that everything is easier to find and looks much more orderly at first glance.
Moreover, each time you have to clean the pantry or cupboard, it will be much simpler because you won't have to take out the products one by one. You'll just need to take out the baskets. Make it easy on yourself!

4. Use the space underneath the shelves
Need more space? You can achieve this by using the space underneath any of your shelves. To do this you'll just need to add some hooks underneath them, and use them to hang whatever you need. For example, you can use it like a clothes rack.
Having said that, it's important to bear in mind that there should be sufficient space for whatever you want to hang, because if not the area may become overwhelmed and feel disorganised, which is just the opposite of what you're trying to achieve.
5. Nothing else fits in your bathroom cabinets? Hang it up!
If your bathroom cabinet or drawers can't hold a single additional product, this is for you. Forget about the idea that everything should be stored away, and hang everything you can in order to save space. You'll just need to put in a clothes rack or some hooks to hang whatever you want. Don't worry if you can't drill holes, there are options for putting clothes racks on doors, like TJUSIC, which you simply hang on the back of a door. Consider hanging the things you use every day and that can be left out. Besides space, you'll save time because it'll be more accessible.
6. Organise your storage area for laundry and say goodbye to piles of clothes
Do you tend to accumulate clothes for ironing on a chair, or somewhere else? If that's the case, most likely every time you see it, you try to look the other way, and you hate that domestic chore.
Consider creating a more organised space where you can easily store clean and dirty garments, so that doing laundry doesn't contribute to creating more disorder. Opt for a small chest of drawers, a dresser or putting up hooks to hang clean clothes so they don't get wrinkled. Although make sure that it's not a very large space, so that you don't put off ironing for too long.
You could also include an attractive basket or container for dirty clothes. If you do this, there's no reason for your ironing to be a disorganised or unsightly element to your home.
Have you taken note? Hopefully with these ideas, you'll create an organised and peaceful environment in your home.
