Recipe 1. Cinnamon mummies

There are loads of Halloween-related icons, everything from witches to vampires, but one of the most popular is a mummy. Did you know that mummies are said to be under a curse that acts as a protective shield against thieves? Still want to try and take one of these delicious cinnamon mummies?

To make them, all you need are the following ingredients

  • Cinnamon rolls
  • Sugar glaze (we used icing writing pens from a Dr. Oetker kit for this)
  • Edible eyes (you can also use white chocolate drops or chips).

Method

  1. Draw a rectangle directly onto the cinnamon ball using the icing writing pen and draw lines inside it.
  2. Remember to leave space in the middle for the edible eyes.
  3. Make sure that you put enough sugar glaze around the eyes and sides.
  4. Let the glaze fully dry and then repeat the process with the rest of the cinnamon balls.

Recipe 2. Ghostly crepes

Who doesn't like crepes? This dish may be the ideal choice for your party as you can shape it like a ghost, a must-have character on Halloween. On this occasion, we're going to make sweet crepes but you can also make a savoury version with ketchup, ham and cheese… you choose!

Ingredients:

  • Frozen crepes
  • Strawberry jam
  • Cream
  • Icing sugar

Method:

  • Heat up the crepes.
  • Stack several layers and shape them into a ghost with the help of a knife or scissors. You can do this with a ghost biscuit mould.
  • Fill each ghost crepe with cream and jam.
  • Decorate the ghost's 'face' with jam and add a little extra to give it dash of blood.
  • Dust with icing sugar as a finishing touch.

Recipe 3. Finger-shaped hot dogs

Hot dogs are one of the easiest, quickest and tastiest recipes to make. What if we swapped sausages for spooky fingers on Halloween? Impressive, right? This is how you make them.

Ingredients

  • Hot dog sausages
  • Hot dog buns
  • Crispy onions
  • Ketchup

Method

  1. Slice the hot dog sausages in half.
  2. Make a few small cuts across one half of the sausage mimicking the lines on the skin on your fingers.
  3. On one side, cut a thin layer sideways out of the sausage to look like a nail.
  4. Put the sausage in a hot dog bun.
  5. For a more frightening and bloody effect, put ketchup around the finger.

Recipe 4. Scary sweets

If you want your guests to really enjoy themselves and treat themselves whenever they fancy, we recommend that you set up a small sweet corner with different customised rolls. To do this, you just need to use different syrups. Let's go!

Ingredients:

  • Frozen cinnamon rolls
  • Coconut balls
  • Blueberry syrup
  • Lingonberry syrup

Method:

  • Bake the cinnamon rolls as per the instructions.
  • Place the cinnamon rolls and coconut balls on separate plates.
  • Use the blueberry syrup and cranberry syrup to decorate with Halloween motifs. You can give them scary faces or simply a dash of blood.

Recipe 5. Spider pie

And finally, there's nothing more delicious or tempting to finish a spooky Halloween meal than a chocolate cake. But this isn't just any old cake, a spider's come along and put a white chocolate-flavoured web right top of it. A dessert made by our little eight-legged friend. Here's the recipe!

Ingredients

  1. Chocolate cake (you can make it yourself or buy a frozen one to decorate)
  2. Pieces of white chocolate (amount depends on the size of the cake)
  3. Small pieces of fruit or sweets

Steps

  • Remove the cake from the container and let it thaw, if frozen.
  • Melt a couple of pieces of white chocolate.
  • Put the melted chocolate in a piping bag.
  • Draw a spider web with the chocolate. Start in the middle, to make it easier, and draw a cross.
  • Place the small pieces of fruit or red berry sweets on the cake to look like spider eggs.

Final presentation

Now that all the dishes are ready for our own 'trick or treat', it's time to serve our Halloween feast.

It's as simple as our fun Halloween recipes. Use a board as a plate or stand and add a few unused candles on one end (remember to do this bit carefully). Now place some small sweets and spooky Halloween accessories, along with a colourful spider, around the table. You can also create the effect of a fake spider web by pulling apart cotton. And that's it!
