Who can create a profile on the IKEA website? Anyone over the age of 18 who is living in Spain (excluding the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands).

Creating a website profile allows you to shop online, book an appointment to design a kitchen, authorise the sending of business communications, create multiple shopping lists, save and sync your shopping list between devices, save IKEA planner information, save and put together your shopping list, purchase a gift card and reserve an item through the Circular Hub, as well as making changes to your profile directly. An active email address and phone number are required so IKEA can easily communicate with the customer.

Logging in with your username and password will allow IKEA to monitor your website activity and send you emails:

To send you planners or shopping lists saved in your account.

To remind you about items that were added to your shopping bag and not ultimately purchased.

To provide you with information about products on the website in which you have shown an interest or in the event that you have shown interest in a product on the website that you did not ultimately purchase.

To remind you that you can purchase our products and services if we notice that you haven’t shopped at IKEA in some time.

You can modify this data whenever you need to do so in your customer area by entering your username and password. If you do not do so, IKEA will regard the data that you initially provided as valid.

It is the customer’s responsibility to inform IKEA of any changes in the personal data provided in order to create a profile. Responsibility for using and safeguarding usernames and passwords rests solely with the owner of a profile from when they create it. IKEA shall not be liable for any incidents resulting from misuse of an IKEA profile.

Commercial communications: a profile owner may expressly consent to the processing of their personal data for advertising or promotional purposes through the channel of their choice. It is possible to opt out of this service easily and free of charge by using the link provided by IKEA, which will allow you to unsubscribe from each of the communications that are sent. You can also change your advertising preferences or unsubscribe directly through the same profile.

In order to uphold the principle of data quality required by existing personal data protection laws, IKEA reserves the right to terminate a profile and will proceed to delete your personal data in the event that the profile has not been used for a considerable period of time. The website profile will be kept active for 24 months from its creation. If you do not actively use your profile, we will delete the account once this period has elapsed. In any event, prior to taking any of these actions, we will send you a notice informing you of this.

You are advised to review the general terms and conditions regularly, as IKEA may modify them in order to adapt them to changes in regulations or in our services.
