What forms of payment are accepted?

In accordance with Law 11/2021, of 9 July, on measures to prevent and combat tax fraud, transposed from Directive (EU) 2016/1164 of 12 July 2016 laying down rules against tax avoidance practices that directly affect the functioning of the internal market, on modifications to various tax regulations, and on gambling regulation, payment in cash or by bearer instrument will not be accepted for transactions equal to or exceeding EUR 999.99. Payment of amounts exceeding EUR 999.99 must be made using a debit or credit card.

At IKEA Design points, payment can only be made with a card.

The payment by bank transfer is valid only for Business customers (self-employed or companies); you can register through our .

You can pay with a gift or refund card and combine them with the other forms of payment available. You can pay for your order online with your credit or debit card (VISA or MasterCard) or by using your PayPal account.
What payment methods can you use when you shop Online?

You can pay for your order with your credit or debit card (VISA or Mastercard). You can also pay via your PayPal account. With PayPal, you can pay securely for all your IKEA purchases without any additional charges.

With your American Express card.

You can now use your gift card to pay for your online purchases if you select Parcel Post or Home Delivery instead of Express Delivery.

If you pay with your IKEA VISA card, payments for your online purchase will be automatically spread over 10 months, interest-free. All you have to do is enter your IKEA VISA card details at the payment stage. (1)

If you prefer, you can alter the spread of repayments for this purchase to the normal payment schedule you have applied to your card by using the IKEA VISA App or by calling us on 902 101 335.

Gift cards

With the IKEA gift card you will definitely get it right! You can buy a gift card at any of our stores. Choose the amount and take it away. The IKEA gift card has no expiry and, if you wish, you can use part of the balance as you need it. It is valid at any store on the Iberian Peninsula and you can also use it in any of the following countries: Germany, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Slovakia, Finland, France, the Netherlands, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Norway, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Sweden, Switzerland and the USA. We should point out that as gift cards are not in anyone's name, lost cards can't be replaced. To check your card balance, go to the customer service desk in-store or call us on 900 400 922.
Finance your purchases with our IKEA VISA card. It's free, and there are no issue or maintenance costs. In addition, it's valid for use at IKEA and anywhere else that accepts VISA.

To finance your Online purchases at IKEA.es: All you have to do is enter your IKEA VISA card details at the payment stage. Payment for your Online purchase will automatically be spread over 10 months, interest-free (1).

If you don’t yet have an IKEA VISA card, you can apply and see the benefits and the terms and conditions on our website. If your card is lost or stolen, block it immediately using the IKEA VISA App, or call 902 101 335 (or 0034 915 192 100 for international calls) and request the cancellation of your card. A replacement card will be issued and sent to your home address.

To notify us of any change, please call us directly on 902 101 335. With the IKEA VISA App, you can manage your card entirely from your smartphone. You can download the App from Google Play or the Apple Store.
