What payment method do you accept in a store?

At IKEA we make it easy for you. That's why you can make your purchases, and conveniently choose from the main payment methods. Applies to all our shops including urban and XS.

In IKEA stores you can pay with:

  • Cards: Visa, Mastercard, 4B, American Express, as well as our IKEA VISA card.
  • Mobile apps such as Apple Pay or Google Pay.
  • Confirmed cheque.
  • IKEA gift cards or IKEA cashback cards. You can combine them with all other available payment methods. The maximum amount is €999 and you can only use them on orders up to that amount.
  • Cash. In accordance with Law 11/2021, as of 11 July 2021, it will not be possible to make total or partial payments in cash or bearer (including gift cards and/or cashback) for transactions equal to or greater than €1,000. After this date, all payments equal to or greater than €1,000 must be made by credit/debit card or certified cheque. We accept all types of currency and legal tender € banknotes, including €500 banknotes.

For more information see our payment options.

For all purchases at IKEA we issue a simplified invoice in ticket format without including your tax details. If you need a regular invoice with your tax details you can:

  • Ask for it before making the payment at the cash desk.
  • Go to the Customer Service section of your nearest IKEA store with your receipt.
  • Fill in the following invoice request form and we will send it to you within two weeks by email.

Come and visit us at any of our stores, we are waiting for you!
