Child-friendly storage ideas

Toys, clothes, books – kids mean a lot of stuff and it often seems that what they need is changing and growing all the time. Here are some ideas to help you with storage for your child and make it easier for them to store and organize their things themselves.

Keeping things handy

A FLISAT knob rack with 4 knobs close to your changing table is great for storing things to keep your baby occupied during diaper changes. As your child grows older, they can keep their stuff organized themselves if you put the knob rack at the right height for them.

Storage for the smaller stuff

As well as a garage for trains, your kids will find that a GLIS box with lid is super for smaller things like pens and pencils. It’s transparent so it’s easy to see where everything is. If you have more than one box you can stack them on top of each other to save space.

Organized homes for all the toys

Organizing and storing toys and art supplies is a breeze with the TROFAST toy storage series. The sturdy wooden frames hold lightweight plastic boxes that your child can easily slide out, carry to where the fun is and put back again.

Where clothes can’t hide

Do your kids find it hard to keep track of things like socks? A great way to make it easier for them is to divide up and organize the inside of their drawers with some RASSLA boxes with compartments. They fit perfectly into drawers in STUVA storage.

Tidying up and finding again

Tidying up toys goes fast when you have a box like this VESSLA storage crate. Your kids will also be able to find their toys again because they can see them in the crate.

A handy extra bed

Sometimes the only way to keep the scary nightmares away is for you to sleep nearby. Why not make it easier with a few hooks on the wall in your child’s bedroom for a spare mattress, and a bed like this one with storage boxes underneath for extra bedding? It’s great for a friend for sleepovers, too.

Encourage reading

You can make it easier for your kids to find their favourite books with a FLISAT book display or wall storage. The wall storage is handy for storing all sorts of things, while the book display is easy to carry so you can bring all the books to wherever you and your child want to curl up for a story.
