Minimalist, functional bed but could be betterGoku007Pros: 1. The bed is simple in design 2. It is made of solid wood and still lightweight. 3, Looks dainty and not imposing in a room, also easy to move around. 4. Value for money. Cons: 1. No king size available for this model. 2. The instructions sent to put this thing together, are erroneous. Inserting the slats into the bed frame before their assembly is way easier than the other way round.3
DO NOT BUYanonymousss123Tarva furniture is impossible to assemble. the material is very poor, the holes were the screws were faulty, and overall the instructions are just a mess. I have never struggled this much to assemble any IKEA furniture before.1
Poor piece of engineeringVadi01I bought this bed frame a year and half ago. It broke last week. All the weight is on four screws which connects a metal piece in the middle to top and bottom of frame. Unfortunately, those wooden piece have very poor quality . The bottom one broke for me. I should add that we are medium sized people. I don't recommend this product.1
Sturdy Bed FrameBobbie85I bought this bed frame a year ago, and I love it. It's attractive, functional, and sturdy. There aren't any sharp edges to bang my legs on, and there's room under the bed for some storage bins. However, the bed frame I received was missing a piece, and despite trying to contact IKEA multiple times through different channels, they've never responded to me. The missing part means that one corner of my mattress isn't as stable, so hopefully no one sits there and breaks it.4
Good 4 out of 5Good bed frame for the price.4
Overall for what I paid for it, it works greatInfamoussammI bought it since my bed was on the floor, and its really sturdy considering. It was of course a pain to put together but all in all I'm happy with it.4
Very decent bedOshyaI bought this bed frame in 2016 and I'm pretty satisfied with it, it was easy to assemble, it's fairly comfortable with the luroy slatted base, doesn't creak unless you're really tossing about. I like the basic look of wood so I didn't varnish or paint it and although the wood darkened a bit with exposure to light it still looks good. The only reason I'm changing it is because I'm upgrading to a queen sized bed and this one was a double/full.4
Good frame until last nightZemerikBought this frame 18 months ago and had no issues until the base of the headboard support mysteriously cracked in half last night. No excess stress on the bed (sadly) and it broke in the middle of the night. Shopping for a replacement now.3
Love Love Love This Bed FrameMs IKEA ladyWe purchased this full bed frame for our master bedroom. Easy to put together. Love the look. So simple and natural. Brings a bright, light feel to our sleeping quarters. We matched it up with the Haugesund spring mattress and the Knapstad mattress topper. Husband and dog love it, so do I.5
Broke after two monthsmjane13Bought this cause i was on a budget since i just moved. not worth the $200. the foot end is put together by dowels while the head in is screwed (which makes sense) the dowels keep causing the foot end to slide out, and finally the other night in the middle of my sleep the foot ends slide right out and the bed fell to the ground. If i could add a photo I would. It is also not covered under warranty.1
Cheap bedEmilyJSBought this bed frame in March and it’s now started to fall apart, the screws fall out and last night when my partner sat in bed his side of the bed the slats fell out and it collapsed, so we had to hammer it back in at 23:30pm!1
Really love the bed at the beginingRenakinsReally enjoyed this bed initially however after less then a 1 1/2 year one of the boards on the frame has broken (in the middle where the vertical beam is). I'm really not sure how this happened - we're adults who don't jump on our bed : ) The timing is also really not great -- everything is closed and we've had to hold the bed up with a couple of harddrives (for some reason that was what we had laying around the apartment ...)2
Been using for 3+ yearslkuschI've been using this bed frame for 3+ years and it has been through probably just as many moves (so easy to take down and transport!). For the price, this bed frame is absolutely solid. I've kept it the natural color all this time but will be staining it soon for a new look. 10/10, IKEA you done good (again).5
Couldn"t be happierIrmgardKWe've had this bed for years and it has been the best frame we've owned. It doesn't take up much floor space beyond the mattress; it's customizable with paint or stain; it's wood so no chemical off gassing around our heads as we sleep. It stands up to our grown son flopping down onto it yet it's lightweight enough to move around with one hand when vacuuming. Lastly, the clearance is high enough for the cats to have a secret clubhouse under there. Really, really pleased with this bed.5
Great wooden bed frame!ikea456123I have had this bed frame for 4 years and I love it! I haven't noticed any squeaking like some of the other reviews have mentioned. The assembly took us a couple of hours, and we took it apart for a move and it is still very sturdy. Our bed supports around 400 lbs nightly, with 2 adults and a large dog. I love the look of the unfinished wood, and the flexibility to paint the bed frame in the future.5
did not last a yearDimDimI bought this bed a little less than a year ago. at the beginning it was good, exactly what I was looking for. But, after a while the bed started to make weird noices ( like it's cracking). Today, I just sat on it and it crashed. the center beam was placed in such a horrible place that it make sense that the bed did not last that long. It's a shame I didn't notice that earlier, I would have returned it. also, my wife and I are not big people so the bed quality is just that poor. I would reccomend to avoid this bed, and get a better one2
Avoid - Squeaking bed frameKTBearVisually, it is a nice bed frame. It was fairly challenging to put together, but my husband enjoys challenges and this certainly provided a sense of accomplishment. Ultimately, we returned because it started to squeak. We called IKEA to see about how to fix it, and they had no suggestions. I had seen other reviews that mentioned the issue of squeaking. I assumed that there would be more negative reviews regarding squeaking, if it was a big problem (given the sheer number of bed frames IKEA sells). Perhaps this bed frame would work as a guest bed (where it is only used very occasionally). My husband and I are both small people, and within a couple months you couldn’t roll over without it squeaking fairly loudly. I’d avoid this product. As a result, we returned before the year for a full refund.1
theka101A word of advice: PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS BED FRAME it's a true bugs generator! I have been harassing by bugs for a long period of time and after a thorough investigation, I come to realize that actually it was this bed frame the source of the problem. Believe me it's a true story of me chasing bugs all night long fearing to fall asleep because of these demoniac creatures!!! A nightmare!!! Put more money and buy a better one with a superior quality, it worth it!1
Center beam won’t lie straightTarva Bed SleeperWe’ve only had the bed 6 months or so and the center beam and legs attached to it have started slanting to the side. Literally every morning we have to lift up the mattress and pull the legs back into place so that the center beam lies flat. We’re afraid the bed will eventually break underneath us. It’s screwed in as tightly as possible and seems to be correctly assembled. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, Ikea!2
Slept soundly, squeaked then splintered.Sleep jackedThis bed lasted about a year before it started to squeaK. (But I don’t think that’s the fault of the bed, more so a testament to my husbands vigour) Then this morning, my husband sat down on the bed and it basically shattered. It is currently in splinters on our floor. We found that the main weight bearing screws were screwed through giant knots that’s supposed to hold the weight of two people. They cracked and the bed splintered apart. But, I guess that’s what happens when you pay for a cheap bed.2
