Product details

The hard-wearing solid pine has natural variations in grain, color and texture, giving every piece a unique look.

If you oil, wax, lacquer or stain the untreated solid wood surface it will be more durable and easy to care for.

There’s plenty of space under the bed for storage boxes - perfect for storing extra duvets and pillows.

You can easily vacuum under the bed frame to keep the space clean and dust-free.

Must be completed with SKORVA center support beam.

Combine this bed frame with a slatted bed base with a max. thickness of 4 cm to keep the slats hidden in the frame. The slats of a higher bed base may be visible along the sides of the bed.

Broken bed, NO WARRANTY ShivamI purchased this bed about a year ago. First, it broke in the middle near the headboard while I was sitting on it. The next day, I sat on it normally and the frame snapped like a stick. I contacted support, and at first, they said they would replace it. The next day, they told me they couldn’t do anything since IKEA beds don’t have a warranty. They also said they would contact me within 24 hours, but no one did, so I had to reach out again for an update. This has been so disappointing. Please don’t buy this bed or any bed from IKEA.1

Better than expectedAdrielWe moved to a new house and decided to buy this bed since it was considerably cheaper than the options. Our plan was to paint it in white (I wanted to stain, but my wife had the last word). I just lightly sanded it and added 1 coat of white primer and 2 of paint. We are happy with our decision of buying it. One year later it is still like new and we did not have any problem. The bed is also quiet, with minimal noise just when sitting. It is also sturdy, but I would not jump over it.4

    "Both the simple design and the untreated wood are typical for the Scandinavian furniture tradition. With TARVA series we wanted to show our roots and create a modern, airy design. We think it's nice to be able to feel the natural material just as it is. The wood is beautiful in its own right and it's also renewable. And because you can stain or paint it without further treatment, everyone can create their own TARVA. In that way, the design becomes a collaboration between us and the person who decorates it."
