Don't Buy!AprilMy daughter has a disability and doesn't understand the importance of telling me when things happen. I went to do something in her room and tried to flip her mattress and the part that goes into the bracket had bent! I know this much have happened months ago, while within our warranty. Why would I want to buy another one? Have you upgraded the product? I'd rather go elsewhere and buy 1 bed that will last. SAVE YOUR $1

Pretty sturdy, but needs support.BethWe bought this to replace a damaged Skorva. We had a friend sleep over for 2 nights who was quite heavy, and the bar ended up bent. Thankfully it is not expensive, so replacing it was simply a trip to Ikea and some labour. We added in 2x4 supports under it, and this one should last indefinitely.4
Another Skorva failure storyErikHad it installed in my king size. Extension end at the headboard failed, tore through the steel on the brace and folded the mounting bracket.
As I am not interested in buying a new bedframe I am hoping my local Ikea will replace it.1

AnnoyedPatriciaUnfortunately with most ikea beds this is the beam that is used. This is the third one I’ve had to replace (on different beds). This beam usually only lasts a couple of years.
Fortunately it is priced well so it’s not a huge expense. Just annoying to have to replace something that should last a long time!2
