Quality Has DeterioratedMargieFirst, I love Kallax - very useful so we have purchased many plus the drawers.
This past year we have found that the quality and workmanship of these drawer inserts has seriously gone downhill!
In recent months the ones we purchased are of poor quality- drawers do not slide smoothly, the tops sit off level and the slides are not level / leaving unsightly gaps. They look horrible when installed, but because we live over an hours drive away we have installed (tweaking) as much as possible- Good enough for an out of sight storage room, certainly not of quality for a living room, bedroom or a unit you’d see regularly. Disappointed to say the least.
Another winnerAllanIncredibly easy to put together, simple idiot proof instructions and when done it fit in my Kallax with ease. Drawers slide in and out beautifully and they look great. Very happy with this purchase.

Cute drawer insertsSheilaLove these drawer inserts as it allowed for a different type of storage in our 8-cube Kallax unit. Used it to organize our son’s trains and tracks; Picasso tiles; wooden blocks and assorted toys. It’s been so helpful in play as we store his most-used toys here and it makes for easy clean-up.
Great drawers but watch for damage before leaving the storeShannonI have used these drawers for years in another Kallax system. We purchased a new unit, along with 4 sets of drawers. When we opened the packages, there were gouges out of the front of the drawer face in two different packages (which you could not see when the package was sealed). We do not live near IKEA, so it was very inconvenient to return to the store to return and purchase replacement drawers. Just a warning...open the package to inspect before leaving the store or parking lot. This was not isolated, as it happened again when purchasing a replacement.
Nice drawersMaxWorks well with the shelves, but would have preferred a version where holes don't have be drilled onto the shelf to hold the drawer wrapper in place. For now just placing them inside a slot, kinda works the same

What is fibreboard?
Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are.
