insanely thin skinAnonymous reviewerI have to be really careful using my desk as to not damage it. It is remarkable how thin they were able to get the coating on this desktop. it is immeasurably thin, almost paintlike. the metal clasp of my watch has worn holes through the top just by typing. if you drop a pen wrong, you'll get a hole. if you've lost the rubber pads on your laptop, shifting it can scratch through the coating. I know it's cheap ikea stuff, but goodness me they could have at least doubled the thickness of the coating.
