Don't buy.RobertaLove the look and idea of these. I recently moved to Nunavut and wanted a set that would be minimal and lightweight. These bamboo lids with metal containers were perfect. However, with light washing, these lids have warped and no longer fit on my rectangular containers. This is only after one week of regular use. They do not soak in water and are promptly dried one they have been washed. Really frustrated about this since we live nowhere close to an Ikea to return, nor does Ikea ship this far north. So now I'm stuck with lids that don't seal.
Used to be betterAlexisI had bought 6 of them maybe 2 years ago. They aren't incredible lids but they sealed well enough and looked good. The new one are thinner and don't seal at all. I tried to carefully put the new lid on and as soon as I held the container by the lid, it fell off. You could see a stark difference in the quality of the old versus the new. It is absolutely not worth the buy anymore.
Ok ChristinaI bought four and one of them is already warped after one hand-wash. Not sure how it happened, but the lid can no longer seal properly. I do like the fact that it is not plastic, wished it was a bit better designed.
Not practical OlgaThe lid looks good, but it is not practical at all. It doesn't seal properly and it quickly curved when it came in contact with moisture and, as a result, it's no longer flat.
Sustainable LorenaIt looks great and it does the job. It won’t go in the freezer by itself though, you will need to protect them with freezer bags.

I wanted to love these so much!DanaI am on a mission to eliminate as much plastic from my life as possible, and went to IKEA specifically to purchase these. I love that they are "mix and match", and I bought a glass container in each of the 6 available dimensions (short round, tall round, short square, tall square, short rectangular, tall rectangular) with the matching bamboo lids so that I could see which I use the most, and then buy more. The problem is that the lids don't seal. I press them down and they pop back up again almost immediately. This happens on every one of my containers, every time. I don't know if I got a defective batch, or if this is an issue that others experience as well, but I would love to find a solution.
bamboo lid Nishai bought these back cause the ones i had spoiled...so i needed to get more of these...so if anything you know you can get more at IKEA
Wood version looks nice but not very goodCalvinMy old plastic one broke so I got the wood version since it looks nicer. However, it is not liquid proof or resistant at all. If you have any liquid in it, it will slowly drips out so it's only for food that doesn't have much liquid. I do really like the look and that you can use it as a small plate though, just need to be aware what you put in it.

Totally brilliantGayleSelling lids and containers separately, with a choice of plastic or bamboo for the lid, is a really brilliant idea. Thanks to whoever thought of it. No more orphan containers or lids languishing in the back of the cupboard.
Stackable bamboo lidsBronwenI bought these lids for the glass cannister because they were cut but they seem to seal really well and they allow you to stack a jar on top too.
