What is Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure code?
Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode are free services provided by your bank or financial institution to offer you a more secure Internet shopping experience when you use your Visa or MasterCard online.
Using a personal Password that you create for your credit card, you gain an extra level of protection against unauthorized use of your card. Once you activate your Verified by Visa Password or MasterCard SecureCode, no one can use your Visa or MasterCard number at participating online stores without it.
What happens when I pay online with Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode?
When you purchase online, you are issued a transaction record at the end of the checkout process. The transaction record includes details of your current purchase, such as site name, purchase amount and date.
You approve the purchse using your personal Password and click 'Submit' to proceed with the purchase. Without your Password, the purchase cannot take place.
I forgot my Password. What should I do?
You established your Password when you activated Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode.
In case you forget your Password please click the "Forgot your Password" link, and follow the instructions online, or contact your bank or financial institution for help.
I incorrectly entered my Password several times and now my login is suspended or locked. What should I do?
For security reasons, if there are too many unsuccessful login attempts, the system suspends your login for a short period of time. If you then incorrectly enter your Password again several times, the system locks your login.
