A safe, warm welcome back to our stores!

All IKEA Canada locations are now open to customers. Working in line with recommendations from local governments and health authorities, we have introduced enhanced, preventative health and safety measures across the shopping experience and operations to ensure co-workers and customers feel safe to work and shop. For more details on opening hours, safety measures and important updates, please click here.

Services for the whole family

We also offers many other family-friendly services to help you have a more enjoyable shopping experience. Our store offers:

• Baby care rooms and change tables in restrooms
• Strollers
• Free baby food and baby food warming stations in our restaurant
• A special children’s menu in our restaurant
• Unsupervised play areas for children to enjoy throughout the store
• Småland: one (1) controlled access, fun, and safe playroom for children to play while parents or guardians enjoy a small shopping trip

Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFL) & Battery recycling

All IKEA Canada locations offer a free take-back/recycling program for expired CFLs and batteries - ensuring that these products are disposed of in a responsible manner. Please note: This service is intended for IKEA customers to recycle only household items. IKEA Canada is unable to receive very large quantities or industrial-use products.

Parking

Accessible parking
Accessible parking spaces are reserved near the front entrance for customers with an accessible parking permit. Please remember to display your permit so it is visible in your vehicle.

Green parking
At least two parking spaces are reserved near the front entrance for customers driving hybrid or fuel efficient vehicles (cars that use less than 6.5L of gas per 100km).

Family-friendly and expectant mother parking
Parking spaces are reserved near the front entrance for expectant mothers and/or families.

Bicycle parking
Bicycle spaces are reserved near the front entrance for customers who have traveled to our store via bicycle and require a space to safely secure it while shopping.

Customer service standard
IKEA is committed to improving access and opportunity for individuals with disabilities by identifying, removing, and preventing barriers that may interfere with their ability to make full use of our facilities.
IKEA offers wheelchairs and electric scooters for customer use when needed. They can be signed out at Ballroom and are available on a first come – first served basis.

Accessibility in Småland

We are committed to providing you and your family with a safe environment and the best possible service. For special situations, exceptions to admittance requirements may be applicable. Please see examples of exceptions below:

• Special cases may permit children to enter the playroom with pull-ups or diapers, but not enter the ball pit • Height requirements are not applicable to those in wheelchairs

Assistive devices
We welcome customers with disabilities and allows them to use their own personal assistive devices. We ensure that our co-workers are trained and familiar with various assistive devices that may be used by customers with disabilities while accessing our goods and services.

Accessible seating
We are committed to providing an exceptional experience for all customers and is pleased to offer accessible seating. These areas are barrier-free and feature sections that can accommodate wheelchairs.

Service animals
We welcome customers with disabilities and their service animals. Service animals may accompany the customer in any areas open to the general public, including the Restaurant / Dining hall areas, but may not accompany the customer into Småland.

Support persons
We welcome customers with disabilities and their support person. Co-workers will be properly trained to identify support persons who may accompany a customer in order to help with communication, mobility, personal care, or medical needs or with access to goods and services. Support persons are welcome in areas open to the general public, but are not permitted to enter Småland.

We are offering free Wi-Fi!

You can connect to the internet using your laptop or mobile device quickly and easily. While visiting our stores you can now enhance your in-store experience by downloading our shopping app. Connect with us on your device today, download the IKEA shopping app, making it easy to:

• scan barcodes
• discover special offers
• check product information
• perform stock checks
• create shopping lists
• find store information
• locate products in the Self-serve furniture area

Frequently asked questions

1. How can I connect to the Internet?
It works easily via a quick connection. If you have a Wi-Fi enabled device, the connection screen will appear automatically. Open a browser on the mobile device and select “IKEA Wi-Fi” as your connection option. Terms and conditions must be accepted.

2. Is there a fee or is registration required?
There is no purchase fee and no registration is required. You will need to accept the Terms and Conditions in order to use the Wi-Fi.

3. Is there an access code or password?
No, there is no access code or password.

4. Is there a usage limit or time restriction?
Yes, there is a four hour usage limit.

5. What happens once I reach the usage limit?
The session is active for four hours, after which, it will disconnect from our Internet service. You can simply re-authenticate via the initial connection screen and accept the Terms & Conditions in order to active the Wi-Fi service again.

6. Are there any websites that are not accessible?
At IKEA Canada, we strive to provide a safe, secure and family-friendly environment for our customers and co-workers. As such, where websites come from questionable sources or contain potentially offensive content, we will prevent access over our Wi-Fi service. Customers who would like to provide feedback or inquire about web content they feel is incorrectly categorized are asked to contact IKEA Canada using the online contact us form below.

7. Is the Wi-Fi connection available in both languages?
Yes, the Wi-Fi web connection screens and Terms and Conditions are available in both English and French.

8. Who is providing the free Wi-Fi service?
IKEA Canada Wi-Fi service is powered by Yo Wireless.
