What is Zigbee and what does it mean?
Zigbee is a wireless technology that helps compatible smart-home products communicate with each other. IKEA uses Zigbee to help smart products, such as lights, blinds, sensors, remote controls and smart plugs, work together reliably. It is designed to provide a stable connection and quick response when you control your products. With IKEA smart-home products, you can use Zigbee to control and customize your setup with the IKEA Home smart app, remote controls and other steering devices.
- DIRIGERA hub and IKEA Home smart app: Use the DIRIGERA hub with the IKEA Home smart app to connect and control your IKEA smart products. The app can guide you through setup and help you manage your smart home.
- TRÅDFRI gateway and IKEA Home smart 1 app: If you have a TRÅDFRI gateway, you can continue to use it with the IKEA Home smart 1 app to control compatible IKEA smart products.
