What kind of payment methods are accepted at IKEA?

For your convenience, IKEA offers several options to pay for your items.

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash*
  • IKEA gift cards / e-gift cards with PIN – limit of 4 gift cards per order
  • VISA credit and debit cards
  • Mastercard credit and debit cards
  • American Express
  • Payplan by RBC
  • Google Pay
  • Apple Pay
  • PayPal (online only)
  • Afterpay (online only)

*Some stores may not accept cash. Please check the store page for any exceptions.

If you'd like to use a Prepaid VISA or Mastercard, you may need to register the card. IKEA requires all credit cards to be associated with a Canadian billing address. Instructions on how to do this can normally be found on the back of your card. If not, please visit the VISA or Mastercard's website.
