Great value, but...JordanI've used these for 10+ years and recently bought some more. As usual, the value for money is great. As always, a little difficult to pull out of the shelf but they present a clean and flush appearance. The problem I have with these new ones is; THEY SMELL. I don't know what materials you've changed to, (maybe the inner rigid material) but they emit a subtle stink like something rotten or dead. I've bought eight of them to fill the shelf, and I'm seriously considering binning them. I hope the GNABBAS don't smell as well.3

I purchased this to help contain all my larger items in my Kallax desk with the square shelving. It is paired up with the current Uppdatera blue box so it’s all a matching set. I like the blue hue.

Material

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
