So you bought it and... it's not quite what you had in mind? That's alright!
You have 365 days to return your purchase. Only applies to unopened, unused items in original packaging and in resaleable condition.

Test and try
Test and try lets you evaluate certain products at home within a 60 day period, similar to how you would at one of our locations. If it comes back used, damaged or not resaleable, we may offer a reduced refund or refuse the return.
How to make a return at IKEA
If your product is unopened you can return it within 365 days with proof of purchase for a full refund to the original method of payment. No rush, no complicated conditions.
If your product has been opened, as long as its in re-saleable condition (at our discretion), bring it back within 60 days and you'll get an in-store credit. Just have proof of purchase.
Return via store
Returning in-store? Use our Express return service for a faster experience. Bring your receipt or order number and head to Exchanges & returns. You’ll receive a barcode online to speed things up. This applies to most items returned within 365 days.
Return via parcel
Can’t make it to a store? You can return small items under 22 kg and 120cm total in size to a participating depot for $9.99 (deducted from your refund). Refunds are processed within 14 days of return. Available across Australia, except TAS and NT.
Return via collection
Need to return a large item? We can arrange collection through a trusted third party. A fee applies and is deducted from your refund unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
Before pickup, please disassemble your furniture to prevent damage, and place any small parts (such as screws) in a secure bag for collection.

Cancelling or modifying an IKEA order
For orders not yet dispatched, you can cancel through the IKEA Track and manage order page. For dispatched orders, simply cancel by contacting IKEA Customer Support.
You are also able to modify an order delivery date up to a certain point in the order process. You can do this through the IKEA Track and manage order page as well.
