Licence agreement for the IKEA kitchen planner

Dear user,

We, the IKEA companies, are pleased that you want to use our tool. In order to download and use the tool, it is necessary to install the software module "3D Viewer". The planner contains various software elements and materials that are protected by copyright in favor of companies in the IKEA Group or third parties who have granted IKEA corresponding rights of use to the software and materials. Therefore, certain conditions of use must be established for the installation and use of the tool by IKEA. Terms of use for the installation and what you are allowed to do:

- install a copy of the 3D viewer on your private computer

- to use the tool for personal information purposes as well as its actual purpose (facility planning) and for printouts of the planning results.

It is not allowed:

- to install, copy or use the tool - or any material it contains - beyond its intended purpose (see above);

- license, sell, rent, lease, distribute or otherwise transfer the tool to third parties; electronically transfer the tool from one computer to another over a network; this also applies to any other material in the tool;

- to decipher, decompile, disassemble, change, modify, further develop or translate the tool - or the material it contains. Trying to access the source code of the software or to develop further programs on it (except as expressly permitted above);

- to use part of the tool or material separately from the rest, neither on its own nor in connection with other software or data that are not part of the tool;

- use the tool to develop software or other technology that has the same primary function as the tool itself; also, but not limited to, use the Tool in development or test procedures that aim to develop similar software or technologies or to determine whether the software or other technologies are similar to the Tool;

- use the tool - or the material it contains - for any commercial purpose; or

- to allow third parties to do the above.

You agree and are informed that:

- the tool, including its content and functions, is made available as-is, and IKEA - neither itself nor for licensors of the software and materials used in the tool, nor on behalf of the company that makes the tool available to you - a Assumes no warranty, neither for representations in connection with the tool and the material contained therein, - nor for results from the use of the tool, for example for drawings / plans and data entered into the tool by you or an IKEA company; including, but not limited to, performance, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or infringement of any third party's intellectual property rights; and

- IKEA - neither itself, nor for the licensor of the software and materials used in the tool, nor on behalf of the company that makes the tool available to you - assumes liability beyond the scope described below for damage, costs, expenses, etc. may arise from the use of the tool, in particular for damage to your computer, loss of data, the inoperability of the tool and any indirect, specific, similar or consequential damage.
