How do I claim my GST refund?

Customers may be eligible for a refund of Goods and Services Tax (GST) on certain purchases made when the goods are taken out of the country. This is governed under the 'Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS).

Under certain circumstances, customers are eligible for a refund of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) that are purchased in Australia and are taken out of the country by the customer with them on a ship or plane. This is called the Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS).
This refund is not claimed or provided from the retailer; it is claimed in person at the TRS facility on the day of the customers departure.
