How does Click & Collect work?
To use this service, add your desired items to your cart, and select the 'Click & Collect' option at checkout. Choose your preferred collection point and time slot. You'll receive a confirmation email/SMS with collection details, and once your order is ready, you'll be notified to pick it up. Ensure you have your order confirmation and ID with you. For any issues during collection, follow instructions provided in your notification or reach out to IKEA customer support.
- Order placement
a. When shopping online, add your desired products to the shopping bag.
b. Select the 'Click & Collect' option at checkout.
c. Choose your preferred IKEA store or designated Collection Point and select an available collection time slot.
d. Complete your order; if you’re an IKEA Family member or meet any criteria for fee waivers, the pricing details will be applied at checkout.
e. The system may not show your preferred location due to high demand; try again in 1–2 days as alternate options might appear.
f. Cancel your Click & Collect order via the Track and Manage Order tool if you change your mind before collection. Note that the cancellation policy may vary depending on the service, and for Click & Collect, orders typically cannot be modified after confirmation; contact IKEA customer support for assistance.
- Order processing and preparation
a. Your order is processed and reserved at your chosen Collection Point.
b. You will receive an order confirmation notification email/SMS with your collection details instructing you when and where to collect your items.
c. For store Click & Collect orders, your order will be held for 3 days from the pick-up date. For Collection Point orders, you will have up to 7 days to collect your order.
d. Monitor your order status via the Track and Manage Order tool online.
e. Stay informed about any potential changes or delays by checking your email regularly during the collection period.
- Collection
a. Once your order is ready, you’ll be notified via SMS or email.
b. Make sure you know the operating hours and specific collection instructions for your selected store or Collection Point. This information can be found on the IKEA website under the ‘IKEA Stores and Collection Points’ page.
c. Arrange sufficient help if your order includes heavy or bulky items.
d. Arrive at the designated collection area (usually near the Returns/Exchanges or Merchandise Pick Up counter) during your allotted time slot.
e. Present your order confirmation along with photo identification and proof of purchase. If you send someone else to collect on your behalf, ensure they have the order confirmation and appropriate identification.
f. Products are gathered at the counter and prepared on a trolley for a smooth pick‑up process.
g. Collect your items and load them into your vehicle; if you require assistance and it is available, ask store staff (note that help with loading is not automatically provided for heavy items).
- Post‑Collection
a. Once you have collected your order, check that you have received all your items and inspect the packaging for damage.
b. Any missing or damaged items should be reported to IKEA as soon as possible. You can either let one of our co-workers in store know so that they can assist with resolving this for you or contact IKEA customer support.
