Our safety feature Anchor and unlock enhances the safety of your chest of drawers by significantly reducing, but not completely eliminating, the tip-over risk.
The safety feature means that the chest of drawers must be anchored to the wall in order to open more than one drawer at a time, which creates a safer environment at home.
By anchoring the chest of drawer to the wall, you unlock the safety feature and can open all the drawers simultaneously when needed.
The frame is easy to assemble thanks to the clever construction with wedge dowels that are easily pressed into the pre-drilled holes.
You get a seamless look when combining 2 or more VIHALS chests of drawers, of the same or different sizes, as the drawers align.
Your home should be a safe place for the entire family. That’s why a wall-anchoring kit is included for you to anchor your chest of drawers to the wall.

Favorite dresser everFosterI love this dresser. It’s well designed , sturdy, easy to put together and has lots of drawer space.

I like that you cannot open multiple drawers to ensure safety with small children. However, you putting it together was terrible. The pieces should be labeled with identifying letters or numbers since the instructions are pictures only

Good value dresserAllisonI like this dresser and do not have the problems that some complain about. It uses space well, especially vertically. In the same closet corner, I have considerably more storage area than an older, shorter, slightly narrower and shallower dresser. The number and depth of the drawers allows for plenty of sorting and accessibility. Drawers slide smoothly and easily.
The way that the drawers do not open all the way is not a problem here. It is either extra storage in the back or something like sweaters that still fill out the drawer and are accessible all the same.
My son did the assembly with little trouble. He did go to YouTube for one unclear part, but got it done working at it leisurely while watching the game.
I was never one to have multiple drawers open at the same time. I can see where that would be dangerous.
Overall, I find it a great value and brings great functionality.
Nicely designed dresser AlisonI ordered x2 of these for my walk in closet organization project. They’re the perfect size and style that fits right in, does not stand out and does the job well. The drawer sizes are perfect for socks under wear tee shirts and pajamas/ sweats.

Good storage but a pain to assembleAnonymous reviewerI've assembled plenty of IKEA dressers but these directions were horrible. Had I not unpacked every item and disposed of the boxes, I would have returned it. That being said, the dresser itself if a good value for the money. I wish the drawers opened a little further but it serves the purpose for storage and it looks decent.

Got one for a daughter it's pretty simple to build! Love the locking drawer features 👌 10/10 for our toddler who loves to open up the drawers. Great Safety DresserMicheleOnly one drawer can be opened at a time. That's great for children's rooms. I wished the drawers were a bit deeper. Bought the skubb organizers and they are rubbing every time you opened the upper 2 drawers.

clean and simple storageAnonymous reviewerThe dresser works as described. The previous review about the drawers not aligning or working must be an assembly error. The drawers work fine and the built in safety feature only allows one drawer to be opened at at time. If the dresser is mounted to the wall then multiple drawers may be opened at once, but if there are no kids or any risk of tip-over, then only being able to open one drawer at a time is perfectly fine and still functional.
I do agree that the drawer stops are a little premature making access to the back the drawer awkward. I would have to lift the drawer over the stops if I need to reach farther back.
So closeJuliaSo close to loving this dresser. It’s a good size and helped me graduate from canvas hanging shelves to a dresser. But…when opening the drawers a good 6+ inches are still inside the cabinet of the dresser making access to all contents difficult. If they could open an additional 3-4 inches it would be great

Nope it's going backLarryI don't know why I keep buying this stuff. I only shop at ikea once every few years, but then I forget and go in and buy something that should work only to find it doesn't. The drawers don't fit right, but the biggest issue is the way they built in a "safety feature" into an already over-engineered product. If you don't bolt it to the wall using their "feature" ("it's not a bug it's a feature!") The drawers will not function.
I got it built just to find out the drawers don't align properly, but I can't place it to activate the safety mechanism and that was the proverbial straw that broke the camels back.
Its going back.
