Con: It's heavy and it comes in 3 boxes. We picked it up from the store so we carried it and moved it around with care. No dents or any issues when opening the boxes.5
Lots of exposed MBF edgesMichaelThis piece is functional, but would prefer that the drawers open a little further. I think this is part of the anti-tip over design. The worst part is all of the exposed MDF edges (back, top drawer) mean this smells like a sawmill, even after you clean it. Who knows how long the smell will last... Also there is a cutout in the top drawer area for mounting the anti-tip hardware. That means that items placed in the top drawer may have the MDF smell. Design tip: All of the edges should be covered. This is a shameful cost savings and it is not advertised that way.3
What a difference!ScottI've put together my fair share of Asian-made furniture, and it's always so frustrating. The Chinese directions that they poorly translate into English. The cheap quality of the parts, and the lazy engineering. But this dresser experience was the polar opposite. Great directions, quality parts and fantastic engineering. It was a pleasure to put together, and it looks and works GREAT! I couldn't be happier. Thank you, IKEA!5

Bad quality GabrielThis dresser is poor quality stay away. The screws to put this dresser together are made out of plastic that break. I tried to get replacement parts but they’re unavailable. 1
Arrived with a very annoying defect, but is a nice dresser after repairingJenniferIn one of the preliminary steps for assembling this dresser, you have to put all 4 sides together by inserting pre-installed knobs into pre-drilled holes, followed by sliding the piece into a smaller section of the pre-drilled hole so it clicks into place. This dresser arrived with ALL of the pre-drilled holes installed carelessly. The smaller portion the knob is supposed to slide into was not drilled out correctly, so it wouldn’t slide in all the way. I had to go buy a dremel and file out the rest of the holes myself so I could finish assembling. From trying to figure out what was wrong with the dresser at first, to going out and buying a dremel, correcting the problem, and re-assembling the dresser, I would say the time it was supposed to take to build this was doubled.
After fixing this very annoying issue, the dresser ended up looking and working great. No other qualms about it, besides that horrible quality control issue. 3
