Un happy with the purchaseMahaI purchase this sofa last Jan . Less than a year and the sofa went down . Not comfortable and am pretty sure they will not exchange it for me because i dont keep the receipt with me because i never thought ikea product will be in this bad quality!! What happen with ikea! I dont think i will purchase anything in future 👎🏼1
hard to cleanMargadI bought this couch 10 months ago. I regret that I didn't return them on time. Really hard to clean and keep clean. I won't recommend anyone who has little children. Because you will always have a problem keeping this couch clean. 1
Poor quality JuanPurchased less than a month ago. the fabric is low quality (stretchy and scratchy). The bottom cushions are starting to sag and dent. 1
Don't recommend Danielle-Uncomfortable compared to the showroom model. -Difficult to find couch covers to fit-- needed to buy 2 California king sheets and they still aren't long enough; and king pillow cases that aren't big enough for the removable pillows. Unfortunately this is one of the only models that Ikea doesn't sell covers for-- didn't know this until after purchasing. -Lacking center support. The only feet are on the chaise size and corner of the couch. -Seat cushions aren't removable. -The only good thing is that the back pillows are removable to help change seating positions in attempt to get comfortable -Not worth the price overall and not returnable due to being opened, assembled, and not having the original two large boxes1
AwesomeAngela V.This sofa is both gorgeous and comfortable. The quality is great and the price point is great too. I definitely recommend it.5
Very comfortableSteven S.The Slatorp went together easily and the resulting sofa is very comfortable and is a nice addition to our home. The fabric could have been stretched tigher on the seat cushions, but this is a minor quibble.4
Nice SofaKari J.We love our new sofa - it fits perfectly in our living room. The size is perfect, big enough for 3 people to sit comfortably and we love the chaise, so you can put your feet up. The other nice option is being able to adjust the back cushions- you can make the back look taller or shorter and adjust to what feels comfortable to you, in the section your sitting in. We love it.5
Nice idea, awful executionValerieWe bought this couch about a year ago and it looks like it’s been through a natural disaster. The cotton stretches out and looks saggy and sad. The seats also sag and are no longer supportive. The only upside is that I got the couch before they raised the price by 150%. They need to find a way to make this with removable slipcovers and better upholstery fabric.2
Poor builtPriyankaWe were really excited for this sofa but it failed all our expectations. We read all the reviews and thought the only issue was non washable covers but there are many more issues. It is poor built, the sitting area sinks when you sit on it. Looks are fine but overall its poorly made.1

Great couch!AmandaThis couch is very comfortable and sturdy. My kids have been climbing all over it. I like the adjustable cushions that make the back taller or shorter. I just wish it came in more colors.5
Do not buy if you have kidsChristinaI bought this couch in 2021 and loved it at first. The fabric is terrible. It wrinkles and stains so easy, it’s impossible to keep clean when you have kids. I own an upholstery cleaner and use it at least once a month but this couch is a goner. I have to spot clean it constantly and it stresses me out with how dirty it still looks. You can actually see the color of the couch has faded from me constantly cleaning it. We had a cheaper Ashley’s couch before this with kids and I never had this problem. It was a waste of money, because functionally it’s fine but visually it’s awful now 2 years later.1

Great sofaFelipeIt is very nice and comfortable. Its more elegant than you can think, the back pillows can be raised to have a better support and the fabric is excellent. All about it is great.5
THE SEAT PAD CAN'T CHANGINGKevinTHE SEAT PAD CAN'T CHANGING3
Chaise warps around the middle seat when on right sideNastasjaThe only reason I’m not getting this sofa is that I need the chaise on the right, and if you put it on the right - the chaise cushion warps to the left, hugging the middle seat. I adore this sofa, and it is by far my favorite ikea sofa - beautiful, super comfortable, adjustable back cushion height, storage space - but this chaise warping to the left thing really throws me off. It takes up seating space, and if I want to lean the chaise against the wall and put a pillow behind my back, it would fall through the gap. Might Ikea consider adjusting this design flaw?4
Comfortable, sturdy, but dirties so easily, can't be cleaned, no covers available.ThomasTitle says it all. It's an attractive sofa with many advantages, particularly the adjustable backs and flexible setup. However it's simply impossible to keep it clean or to clean it. Non-removable seat and arm covers are a deal-breaker. We've had it for a year and feel it needs to be completely replaced. Wish we had not kept it. If a cover were available, we would buy it.2
First ImpressionsTrentSo far so good with this couch. You are starting to get in the price range of a decent couch that can last more than 3 yrs. I think it does a good job balancing comfort with a sleek modern look5
Do not buy if you have kids or dogs.HanselThis is the first item that i regret purchasing at Ikea. We were drawn to it because of the back cushion feature. It will get dirty and stain, no matter what you do to take care of it. It stains so easily and it will not stand the abuse if you have kids. We even have a spot stain cleaner, and still couldn't keep it clean.1

Our take on cotton

We use cotton in many of our products, from sofas and cushions to bed linen and mattresses. It is a soft, durable, and renewable fiber that breathes and is good at absorbing moisture. All these great qualities make cotton one of our most important materials, but it isn’t without its challenges, much having to do with conventional farming methods that negatively impact the environment and poor working conditions for farmers. With our size and production volumes, we want to drive change in the cotton industry.

Working together to drive change

Each year, IKEA uses around 0.5 percent of all cotton grown around the world. This may not seem like a lot, but the number is big enough to drive change in the industry. For many years, we have been working with partners and stakeholders globally to transform conventional large-scale cotton farming and set social and environmental standards for cotton production. As an example, we helped set up the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) who runs the world’s largest cotton sustainability programme. BCI exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in and better for the sector’s future. Today, more than 110,000 farmers have adopted more sustainable farming practices within IKEA projects.

Ensuring compliance throughout the value chain

All IKEA products are produced in accordance with the IKEA IWAY Standard, our Supplier Code of Conduct. It sets out the minimum environmental and social standards expected from our suppliers, including compliance with local laws. We do not accept any form of forced labor, child labor or treatments in breach of our supply chain requirements. Our cotton teams across the globe ensure that all cotton used in IKEA products meets the demands of compliance in our supply chain. By having teams on the ground in areas where it has previously been challenging to work responsibly, we can challenge the traditional ways of working and improve the industry. If we discover that we are acting in places where we cannot ensure our requirements are being met, we follow-up on the ground and drive change.

What is cotton?

Cotton is one of the world's most appreciated and used natural fibers. Textiles in cotton are soft, hardwearing and can be washed at high temperatures. They are also good at breathing and absorbing moisture – making them pleasant to wear close to the body. Today at IKEA we use more and more recycled cotton and strive to make sure that all the new cotton we use has been grown and produced with less and less amounts of pesticides, fertilizers and water.
