Unfortunately, there is one major downsideIrinaWe bought the SLATORP sofa in 2024 and absolutely loved it at first. The design is beautiful, and the adjustable back cushions are a fantastic feature. You can raise or lower them depending on how you want to sit, which makes the sofa feel very comfortable and cozy.
Unfortunately, there is one major downside that completely changed our experience. The fabric is not removable and cannot be machine washed. We have a small child, and despite taking good care of the sofa, the upholstery gradually became stained and worn. Even professional cleaning is not recommended for this material, leaving us with almost no way to restore it.
After only a couple of years, our expensive sofa looks so worn that we have no choice but to replace it. That is incredibly disappointing for such a significant investment.
If you have young children, pets, or simply want a sofa that can be maintained over time, I would seriously consider a model with removable, washable covers instead.1
Comfortable, stylish and easy assemblyNajibEasy to assemble and very comfortable. I especially like the adjustable back, which makes it easy to change positions depending on whether you're sitting upright or relaxing. The dark gray fabric looks great. Overall, very happy with the purchase.5
Cushion soft spots, can't cleanMichaelThe couch itself looks nice and is comfortable early in its life. As other reviews have said, it becomes frustrating that the cushions don't have slip covers to clean. As a medium traffic couch it gets slightly discolored, you can't clean, and spot cleaning with different solutions doesn't help (but can fade fabric easily).
Common spots where people sit are going soft. I don't want to notice that with 12-14 months, short life it'll have.
The back cushions look nice, but it's mostly annoying they can have two positions. They easily can be knocked off the back if not against a wall.
Not recommended for daily use.3
Solid enough.LindsaySlides across my top floor apartment quietly for the most part. Like I can flip the chaise. It’s not bad. The seat rest pillows are gimmicky. But I slept on it for three weeks waiting for my mattress to show up and it was perfectly fine.5
Very comfortable and spacious, with a supportive backReneeI had a hard time finding a couch with a high back that allowed me to lean back and rest my head against. Newer couches often have low backs. I find that uncomfortable. It’s not supportive for my neck and head.
The deep cushions allow me to sit with my legs pulled up on the cushion. It’s roomy enough for me, my husband, and two kids to relax on comfortably and not be pressed against each other. The chaise section is wide enough for two adults to recline on together. I snuggle with both kids on the chaise. It’s very comfortable and we don’t feel squished.
Easily adjustable back cushions raise for a high back or lower for a modular look.
I bought the green and is exactly as pictured. It is a medium olive green that can blend with most decors. Another reviewer mentioned their disappointment with the green, that it was not green but a mustard yellow. Mine definitely is green. Maybe they ordered the golden color, which is a mustard yellow color, but meant to order the green.5
