This couch looks and feels amazing. Bottom cushions are firm and stay in place and the back cushions are soft and cozy. 5
Love our new sofa!KatyI’m very impressed with the quality of this sofa. It’s very comfortable, the cover feels high quality, and the storage under the chaise is great. It was a pretty big project to put together. In hindsight I would have just paid for someone to do it. The only drawback is that the cover does seem a little hard to take off to wash. For the chaise cover to come off you need to unscrew some things. I was hoping to just pull off a slipcover and wash easily.5
Not up to IKEA standardsMelanieHave to agree with other negative reviews. The back part of the couch where it meets the chaise didn't line up. I've assembled many IKEA pieces including several couches and never had this kind of issue. Tried to live with it for a few months but this misalignment looks terrible. The slipcovers look sloppy and the chaise cover is essentially impossible to put on or replace. Additionally for those considering the Hallarp white- yes I realize it is a white couch but this fabric seems to attract stains like no other. I will be attempting to return even though it will be an enormous hassle for such a large piece.2

Hard & uncomfortableNicolaRead reviews saying that the couch was hard but I went and sat on the couch in the IKEA showroom and the couch in the showroom was super soft so we decided to buy it. Had the couch delivered to our house and it is hard as a rock. The chaise is even harder and it’s higher than the rest of the sofa. Very disappointed and mad that I spent so much money on it.1
DisappointedNancyI purchased this sofa with the right sided chaise in December. I was not able to assemble the sofa until March due to some remodeling. The chaise seat is about 2” higher than the sofa seat. The back cushions do not fill out the the corners making it look very sloppy. I am very disappointed with this purchase as I’ve been using it for six months now and the seat cushion has only gotten worse. It was expensive for what it is. Can’t recommend this sofa at all.1
