Nice rug - sturdyPatriciaThis is a nice, sturdy, woven rug .. however, the one I received is mostly white and light grey. I really don't know how I am going to use it .. I expected all the colors as in the photo to help keeping it looking clean and new.3
Love this rug! Looks greatToniaLove this rug! Looks great on my new kitchen floor!5
Extremely disappointed. Shipped product lookedCarolExtremely disappointed. Shipped product looked nothing like picture. I realize it was the luck of the draw but rug had little variety of color and was mostly "ballerina pink". Who buys a pink rug? Return policy was such that it would have costed about same as rug to return!1

Our Cat Loves ItElliotWe thought we were buying a rug for ourselves. We were wrong. Sterling has decided that this is his favorite place in the world. Sterling gives this rug 8 stars out of five. He highly recommends it.5
Perfect for KitchenIngridI got this rug for my kitchen to warm up my tile floor. My cats approve also. I bought this with confidence because IKEA rag rugs last forever(I have one that is 34 years old and it just started to fall apart).5
It works well. I wasn'tLindaIt works well. I wasn't wild about some of the colors that were inserted into the rug and had to search through all the rugs to find one that had less of the odd colors that I didn't want and did not go with the colors I needed.4
Skip itVioletI don’t know why this item gets such glowing reviews. I ordered mine online and the rug I received looks nothing like the photos. There are threads shedding off it like crazy and it’s incredibly lumpy underfoot and irregular looking. It’s not convenient for me to drive to an IKEA to return it, so I guess I’m stuck with it. I wish I could get my money back. I hate this rug.1
Striped runnerCrystalLove the colors and texture. Wish there were more sizes in this colorway.5
Just the thing!PaulIt was exactly what we were looking for in a rug. We bought it to place in a high traffic area of our living room; and it’s washable, too! The multiple colors also went well with my decor.5
No bright colors/clashes with home decorAprilI was expecting bright colors but all 4 of the ones I bought online are pinks and grey. They completely clash with everything in my home. I was expecting some variations but I was not expecting 4 pink and grey rugs. The quality is nice but do not purchase if you are expecting a bright, multicolor rug.1
Perfect for my useNajaI bought this rug to use under our kiddo’s bunk bed and it’s perfect. The other space fillers are a beanbag and some stuffies, but this fills the rest of the space exactly as I had planned.5
Love it!MelanieNot as colorful as the picture, but I like it and it washes well.5
I have several and theyGregoryI have several and they have held up pretty well so far to wear and tear with several washings.4

Our take on cotton

We use cotton in many of our products, from sofas and cushions to bed linen and mattresses. It is a soft, durable, and renewable fiber that breathes and is good at absorbing moisture. All these great qualities make cotton one of our most important materials, but it isn’t without its challenges, much having to do with conventional farming methods that negatively impact the environment and poor working conditions for farmers. With our size and production volumes, we want to drive change in the cotton industry.

Working together to drive change

Each year, IKEA uses around 0.5 percent of all cotton grown around the world. This may not seem like a lot, but the number is big enough to drive change in the industry. For many years, we have been working with partners and stakeholders globally to transform conventional large-scale cotton farming and set social and environmental standards for cotton production. As an example, we helped set up the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) who runs the world’s largest cotton sustainability programme. BCI exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in and better for the sector’s future. Today, more than 110,000 farmers have adopted more sustainable farming practices within IKEA projects.

Ensuring compliance throughout the value chain

All IKEA products are produced in accordance with the IKEA IWAY Standard, our Supplier Code of Conduct. It sets out the minimum environmental and social standards expected from our suppliers, including compliance with local laws. We do not accept any form of forced labor, child labor or treatments in breach of our supply chain requirements. Our cotton teams across the globe ensure that all cotton used in IKEA products meets the demands of compliance in our supply chain. By having teams on the ground in areas where it has previously been challenging to work responsibly, we can challenge the traditional ways of working and improve the industry. If we discover that we are acting in places where we cannot ensure our requirements are being met, we follow-up on the ground and drive change.

What is cotton?

Cotton is one of the world's most appreciated and used natural fibers. Textiles in cotton are soft, hardwearing and can be washed at high temperatures. They are also good at breathing and absorbing moisture – making them pleasant to wear close to the body. Today at IKEA we use more and more recycled cotton and strive to make sure that all the new cotton we use has been grown and produced with less and less amounts of pesticides, fertilizers and water.
