Reviews

Love itLaurenGot it a year or two ago and it’s the main rug in my living area/child’s play area. Has held up really well. It’s comfortable to walk on and easy to clean. 5
Beautiful rugEnikoThis rug is beautiful! It looks even better in my living room, than on the pictures. Feels good under the feet or sitting on it. As for shedding, I only noticed it when I vacuumed it. There aren't any loose lints floating around. I only see lints in my vacuum canister. Also the wool scent is only noticeable when I sit directly on the rug, and I rather smell natural wool than a bunch of artificial chemicals. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase!5
Never stops sheddingSusanLooks good, but even with minimal use-it’s in a bedroom- puffs of wool fuzz appear every day.2
Beautiful clean linesSharonThis rug is perfect to give a finished look to a contemporary small living room. The red border is striking and perfect with the color of the rug.5
Too much lintOsmanCauses too much lint to vacuum every few days. Returning.2
Did we get a defective rug?ChristineThis rug is attractive, low-pile, and comfy to walk on as advertised, but we have to vacuum this rug twice a week to keep the lint from covering every surface in the house. When we vacuum, it fills up our entire vacuum canister and clogs the filters. We really wanted this to be a good rug, and it does the job of not collecting small toys, and fits the space just right, but we can't figure out why it sheds so badly.2
Cool RugKentVery high quality for the price. 5

Form design process

Made using the hand tufting weaving technique

With hand-tufted rugs, a design is created on a canvas using a tufting gun. This tool pushes strands of wool through the canvas to create loops on the surface. They form a pile, which can be kept shaggy, or cut to create a uniform surface. The loops are secured with a layer of latex on the back and then finished with a piece of fabric glued to it. The technique allows for the efficient production of rugs in various colors and patterns in a relatively short amount of time.

Material

What is wool?

Wool is a practical natural material that usually comes from sheep. The raw wool is washed and then spun into yarn. Wool rugs have many advantages. They're soft, warm and comfortable to walk on, and they're also very hardwearing. They're stain-resistant too, because wool has it own natural oil. This means that dirt stays on the surface and doesn't penetrate into the rug. All wool rugs shed - some more, some less - vacuum them regularly to prevent the loose fibers from scattering.
