Good looks but doesn’t provide privacyLORENAMy mother in law and I bought one (each) not long ago.
I installed mine, and to my disappointment, you can see through it at night if you turn the lights on in the house. It truly doesn’t provide the privacy we hoped we would get.
My mother in law has not even installed her, and she won’t more than likely.
If you want it to provide certain privacy during day time and to block some sunlight, this is the one for you. Not for you if what you want is privacy. The color is pretty, and I like how it retracts.
Make sure you measure your window and how it’s installed, before you get one.
Also, they don’t provide the screws for installation.3

Soft Filtered Warm LightMarcy E.I've owned Sandvedel shades in the cream color for 2 years, but my apartment gets a LOT of light and I wanted to tone down the glare. These have the same mounting hardware as Sandvedel, so I didn't have to rehang them. The grey/taupe color is very nice - a minimalist roller that throws beautiful, warm light on the brightest day. The roller mechanism isn't high-end - but they are an excellent value for the price.5

Poor DesignThis “updated” model is the word I have ever bought in IKEA. The rolling mechanism is not working properly. The shade is rollong up too fast, often, so it becomes dangerous to use it. It easily can slap your hand. Also, it is not having any stopper, so it is keeping rolling - my is installed outside a window.

VERY sheer. Weird roll-up actionAlan J.Bought this to replace a previous IKEA roller shade I've had for a few years that no longer rolls-up well. I didn't pay close enough attention and didn't realize it was sheer as it looked the same color as my old one. So that's my fault, but when I saw it was sheer I put it up anyway, but didn't think it would be *this* sheer. Cheesecloth is more opaque if lit from inside the house. This may or may not work for you, just be aware.
Also, the roll-up mechanism is rather odd. It's VERY still to pull down and is somewhat tricky to get to roll up. It rolls up VERY slow and controlled, which is odd, but maybe it's by design. It also often doesn't stop in a decent spot up top. Maybe this design is why it's so hard to pull down. It works, but I'm not happy with it. It's going back for a different one next time I go to IKEA, if for nothing else to get a less sheer option.
Also, the wall mount L-brackets are PLASTIC!!3
