Product details

Wireless smart blinds darken your bedroom with a push on the remote control – and you won’t have your sleep disturbed by moonlight or be woken by the sun when you want to sleep in late.

By connecting this product to DIRIGERA hub, you get more out of it and can also control it, together with other smart products, in the IKEA Home smart app.

The blind comes pre-paired with the remote control and the signal repeater.

For the blinds wireless functions to work, the signal repeater (included in the package) needs to be plugged in to a power socket within 32 feet from the blind.

The blind is cordless for increased child safety.

BRAUNIT battery pack is the power source to your wireless roller blind.

No need to change fittings or drill new holes if you change your blinds. The wall/ceiling brackets included in the package are suitable for TRETUR, FYRTUR and KADRILJ roller blinds

Love these blindsDon T.These Fyrtur automatic blinds work very well and super simple to install. The app and smart integration also work very well. I’ve decided to switch out all of my window blinds to these ASAP.5

It would be nice toAishwaryaIt would be nice to have basic colour choices. We needed white but had to adjust with grey4
Great ValueDanI love these blinds. Installed 4 in my bedroom. Very simple to program and they work very consistently. Only issue I had was one of the blinds didn't work when I brought it home and I had to exchange for another one.5
Works greatMARIOIt works great but since there is only one battery and it had to be removed to charge it lost a star4
Good buy for the price but could be smarterRajeshI purchased two of these shades to install on side-by-side windows. The installation was relatively easy, but it would have been better if there were some instructions on placement of mounting brackets. I did an outside install because the shades were too wide to fit inside the window casing. This causes a gap when the shades are closed so it's not a true blackout shade for me, since there is about a 2-inch deep gap on either side between the shade and window. Setting the max height was a bit of trial and error and matching the height on both shades took a bit of work. There were no instructions included to link both shades to one remote, but I found instructions for it online. The repeater needs to be plugged-in for the remotes to work. Making the shades SMART involved pairing the shades to the Dirigera Hub. The app walks through the process of pairing the shades to the Hub one at a time. But by doing so, it reset the shades and lost the original link to the remote, so I had to pair the remote to the Hub in order to operate it via the remote, none of this is mentioned in the instructions, so I had to search for this online as well. Once paired with the hub, the remote no longer needs the repeater. Once setup, I could control the shades as a group via the remote or via the app. I also programed opening and closing times for the shades based on sunrise and sunset times and it's very convenient to have this happen automatically. One bit of annoyance is that the speed at which the two shades operate is different. One of them is a bit quicker than the other even though I made sure to charge both batteries fully before installing them in the shades. Overall, these are well made shades and good value for the price.4
I expected these to workAferditaVery unhappy and returned all 41
Very nice and easy toPrusinowskiVery nice and easy to install.4
Great conceptRyanGetting these installed were really easy. Getting them to work and pair was a different story. The 1st one paired easily, put getting the 2nd one was a nightmare. I got the IKEA smart hub and finally was able to get them working. It took me about an hour in total to get them set up.3
I love it!AdrianEasy to install (with the proper tools of course). The good thing is that IKEA sells all the tools to install this so you don't have to go looking around at a hardware store. I love how it does not require wifi or the Hub to work. I did buy an extra battery that is charged up and ready to go when one dies.5
Great blind!BrettThese blinds are very easy to set up and use. They integrate easily with Alexa and their neutral color makes decorating easier. I took away one star because you can only use the app to control them when connected to your home wifi. There is no web connection to operate them when away. This needs to be added.4
Awful FabricMason S.I’ve unfortunately had to go through two sets of these blinds. The first set the metal rod at the bottom came undone on one of the blinds, happened about 6 months in. The second set the automatic roller went out on the one window and then the fabric started to fray and have strange indents. So I returned them and got the white accordion style and they’re much better. The only reason it gets two stars is because it is in fact black out shaders and customer service was always extremely helpful.2
Glad for the different sizesJANEBlind fits my window perfectly. Up/down remote mechanism works well too, I installed it on the wall near the light switch. The other 'thing' that comes with the blind has to be plugged into an outlet for the blind to work. Luckily, I had a convenient outlet under the bed where it could be plugged in and not interfered with. I thought that the online description was unclear in that I assumed that extra piece (that needed plugging in) was just for the smart-home set up, but no, it's needed for the regular switch to work too.5
Worth it!DAVIDWorks with Homekit and got it on sale.5

Fantastic!MaryI LOVE my new Fyrtur blinds. I purchased 4 to cover a large window in my living room. My son had all for up in about 20 min. I also purchased the Dirigerà hub and set up the blinds to work with Google Home. They now close automatically at sunset and open automatically at sunrise.5
Great blindsToniGreat blinds but batteries for remote went dead after 1 day.4
FYRTUR Roller ShadeJanaWorks as expected for the price. A little louder than I thought it would be but overall satisfied.4
Excellent value, appearance, and performanceJosephThis is definitely and WOULD RECOMMEND product. First the only BAD-difficult to enroll in software and remote operation. Difficult to understand directions. Not as much flexibility in ordering sizes and no choices in color or materials. Now, everything else is awesome! Great value, once I got them enrolled and set up with Ikea Phone App and Google Home, I've been nothing but pleased with the automation performance and appearance. My wife is actually very pleased with the look and LOVES how they work. I set up a few schedules and really haven't needed to touch them since.5

Our take on polyester

Polyester is a durable, wrinkle-resistant and easy-care material that is ideal for many home furnishing products like rugs, pillows, quilts and cushions. The downside to virgin polyester is that it is made from oil, coal or natural gas. This means that when we use virgin polyester, we are exhausting the planet’s natural resources. Our response to this, is to replace all virgin polyester with recycled in our products. In 2020, we achieved the milestone of replacing 79% of the virgin polyester used in IKEA textile products and will accelerate the transformation towards the aim of only using recycled polyester throughout the product range where polyester is used.

Virgin vs recycled polyester

Originally, all polyester was made from oil-based raw materials which are not renewable but we are switching to only using recycled polyester. The good thing is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without negatively affecting the quality of our products. When we make products from recycled polyester, we give a second life to material that is not biodegradable and reduce the amount that may otherwise end up in landfill or the ocean. Instead, PET and other sources of polyester are used to make textiles, storage boxes, kitchen fronts and even lamps. Recycled polyester is just as good as virgin polyester in terms of looks, quality and function, and produces about 50% less in CO2 emissions. And the material is just as clean and safe in every way.

Some challenges with recycled polyester

Recycled polyester makes us less dependent on oil. The amount we convert, is equal to the amount of virgin fossil fuel we eliminate from our polyester raw material (this excludes potential dyeing and other post recycled polyester production treatments). With some exceptions, the challenge is not the conversion of polyester into recycled itself, but to make it available to everyone by keeping it affordable. Buying low environmental impact products often comes with a higher price tag. We want to change that by working to make recycled polyester products more affordable and accessible to the many people.

Only recycled polyester

IKEA is committed to end the dependency on virgin fossil materials and only use renewable or recycled materials by 2030. We are accelerating this movement for polyester in our range and aim to replace all virgin polyester in our textile products with recycled. In 2020, IKEA replaced 79% of the virgin polyester used in IKEA textile products with recycled polyester. In volume, this means we converted 130,000 metric tonnes of recycled polyester, and saved 200,000 tonnes of virign polyester. We haven’t reached our 100% goal yet, but we have come far and overcome many obstacles on the way. These volumes make us a leader in converting to recycled polyester and we hope that our decisions can inspire and motivate whole industries to change.

Responsible sourcing

At IKEA, we demand that all recycled polyester used in IKEA products shall come from recyclers that are compliant with the Global Recycled Standard and traceability is secured to the IKEA product through requirements toward the IKEA Suppliers. By only using recycled polyester that meets the Global Recycled Standards we manage to secure social, environmental and chemical practices at the recycler’s production. We believe that the GRS standard is the best standard on the market today. We work with our partners and textile organisations such as Textile Exchange to further improve standards on recycled materials, including traceability of material beyond the recycling units.
