FYRTURShawnClean, modern & easy installation. Make sure all parts are fully charged before using. I recommend YouTube for any instructions on how to reset or setting the blind length.5
Love, love, love!OLGAThis is the second shade we’ve purchased. We love them! Easy open and close with the push of a button.5
Breaks after about a year, warranty is hard to use.Ryan N.I've purchased 6 of these. Three of them have failed after about a year. Ikea customer service is very difficult to work with when following up on a warranty claim. Warranty time varies by country, so be sure to check yours before you buy. BTW -they work great when they work.1
works as intendedmaigreat product to replace mini blinds that i could not open/close or lift up or down due to height and not being able to reach curtain rod or cord.5
I can not connect to WIFI (IKEA HOME SMART)LucasI bought 4 FYRTUR and it was very very easy to assembly. But I was not able to connect to wifi ? I called IKEA customer service on phone, I went in person in the store but nobody could help. Its look like to connect to WIFI I need to buy an getaway ... but this part is not available to purchase ... So if you intend to open the blinds with your mobile ... it is not like that !! I am very very disappointed !!2
Need longer width for large windows/ sliding doorsKathleen M.Would appreciate the offering of large widths!3
Great product but instructions ...JOEThe names of the "parts" and how they work are confusing in the instructions. I did figure it out. The part used to charge the battery is also the part used to make the remote work, so it needs to stay plugged in nearby for the remote to work. To preset the shade to stop at a certain length, you use the manual buttons on the shade, not the remote. Once I figured it out everything is great. The IKEA lesson is love the product, but hate the instructions.5
works okJohnEasy to install, easy to use. We will be placing a wooden covering over the units to disguise that they exist4
Love it ! Easy toMAXIMILIANOLove it ! Easy to assembly! Looks modern and super cool ! Run super smoothly!5
Amazing buy!ScottThese shades are working great. Complete blackout coverage, sleek look, beautiful grey color! Entire home looks better!5
Best Value Smart BlindsKHADERit was easy to install and works like a charm.5
Very poor qualityAnonymousThe worst product I have ever bought at IKEA. Very poor quality, I bought it two months ago and it stopped working2
Easy Install!JenniferFor the price these blinds met my expectations and beyond. Easy to install using both sides of the mounting brackets. Easy to sync 4 blinds to one remote. I’m having issues getting my other 2 larger blinds to sync to another remote but I’m sure it’s user error. I would love to see these blinds in a different polyester fabric design/color choice.5
Future is hereAnnaLove automation!5
Good product, crappy automation executionJAYSONThe price & quality are great. BUT they constantly drop off of the Zigbee network & the only way to get them back is to reset them. We bought 9 and that process is tedious. We are trying to use with the gateway - maybe just using the remotes is a better experience. Proceed with caution if you want to use within a Smart Home.2
Stopped working after a monthDeniseI want to like this and wish it would work. It worked for about a month and it was great, worked with the app and on a schedule, then suddenly stopped. Now, We can only use it manually and on occasion the remote will work. This relies on wifi but needs to be very close to the gateway to work. We tried adding the signal repeater and we’re never able to get it to pair. It’s very temperamental. I keep trying to reset it hoping it will magically start working again. The blackout aspect is great though- Super dark.2
pairing is a painTEDI still have not been able to pair with the gateway. I have given up. Blinds are nice and work well with remote out of the box but controlling with the app is way too difficult.3
Motorized shadesTomLove and am planning to buy more.5
Dark roomAliciaWork great to make a room darker and helps to keep my home the temperature that I wish it to be.5
FyrturMICHAELThe installation was easy enough and simple. The curtains work very well and at much lower price than others we looked at. It is very annoying that you can barely touch the curtain without it becoming undone from the groves. And the re pairing of the remotes are a major pain.4

Our take on polyester

Polyester is a durable, wrinkle-resistant and easy-care material that is ideal for many home furnishing products like rugs, pillows, quilts and cushions. The downside to virgin polyester is that it is made from oil, coal or natural gas. This means that when we use virgin polyester, we are exhausting the planet’s natural resources. Our response to this, is to replace all virgin polyester with recycled in our products. In 2020, we achieved the milestone of replacing 79% of the virgin polyester used in IKEA textile products and will accelerate the transformation towards the aim of only using recycled polyester throughout the product range where polyester is used.

Virgin vs recycled polyester

Originally, all polyester was made from oil-based raw materials which are not renewable but we are switching to only using recycled polyester. The good thing is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without negatively affecting the quality of our products. When we make products from recycled polyester, we give a second life to material that is not biodegradable and reduce the amount that may otherwise end up in landfill or the ocean. Instead, PET and other sources of polyester are used to make textiles, storage boxes, kitchen fronts and even lamps. Recycled polyester is just as good as virgin polyester in terms of looks, quality and function, and produces about 50% less in CO2 emissions. And the material is just as clean and safe in every way.

Some challenges with recycled polyester

Recycled polyester makes us less dependent on oil. The amount we convert, is equal to the amount of virgin fossil fuel we eliminate from our polyester raw material (this excludes potential dyeing and other post recycled polyester production treatments). With some exceptions, the challenge is not the conversion of polyester into recycled itself, but to make it available to everyone by keeping it affordable. Buying low environmental impact products often comes with a higher price tag. We want to change that by working to make recycled polyester products more affordable and accessible to the many people.

Only recycled polyester

IKEA is committed to end the dependency on virgin fossil materials and only use renewable or recycled materials by 2030. We are accelerating this movement for polyester in our range and aim to replace all virgin polyester in our textile products with recycled. In 2020, IKEA replaced 79% of the virgin polyester used in IKEA textile products with recycled polyester. In volume, this means we converted 130,000 metric tonnes of recycled polyester, and saved 200,000 tonnes of virign polyester. We haven’t reached our 100% goal yet, but we have come far and overcome many obstacles on the way. These volumes make us a leader in converting to recycled polyester and we hope that our decisions can inspire and motivate whole industries to change.

Responsible sourcing

At IKEA, we demand that all recycled polyester used in IKEA products shall come from recyclers that are compliant with the Global Recycled Standard and traceability is secured to the IKEA product through requirements toward the IKEA Suppliers. By only using recycled polyester that meets the Global Recycled Standards we manage to secure social, environmental and chemical practices at the recycler’s production. We believe that the GRS standard is the best standard on the market today. We work with our partners and textile organisations such as Textile Exchange to further improve standards on recycled materials, including traceability of material beyond the recycling units.

Function solution

Get the light just right!

With our roller blinds FYRTUR & KADRILJ, you can control the light from your bed, or somewhere else! Thanks to the included remote control or the IKEA TRÅDFRI app, several wireless blinds can be controlled at the same time or individually. It’s convenient and great for all generations. Choose what sort of blind you need. FYRTUR blind blocks out the light, while KADRILJ blind filters some light through. Let them help you get just the right amount of light and set the best conditions for a good night’s sleep, or gentle waking up!
