Almost perfect!Jennifer M.I bought this to use as a wall mounted desk for working at home. I needed it to fit into a very particular place. I tried another desk with cantilever legs and I hated it, so I went with option number 2: the Bjursta.
I read the reviews from folks who mentioned that the spacing for the bracket holes didn’t match up to their wall studs and indeed they don’t: the center column holes are 14” from either of the outer bracket holes, and the inner bracket hole is just under 10” from the outer one, so I drilled additional holes to fasten the table to two studs and used heavy duty drywall anchors for the rest of them. I wouldn’t stand on it, but it’s on there pretty good.
Since the Bjursta is only available in espresso, I painted it with white and orange enamel to match the rest of my Ikea stuff, and I’m really happy with it.
The only issue is that the center support ended up a bit low so it wasn’t perfectly level. Nbd, I added an adhesive rubber bumper to balance it out.4

High quality compact tablePaige C.Our current 2 seater kitchen table made it difficult to entertain guests without pulling out an ugly, large plastic folding table, so this product was perfect for our needs! Highly recommend installing with 2 people, though. The materials are high-quality and heavy. The 6 wall-mounting screws you need do not come in the box, but we used a kit from the hardware store of drywall anchors and screws that worked perfectly. Once the leaf is extended open, the corners of the table can bend downwards with some pressure, but I think it should be fine for normal dining purposes.5

Why doesn’t it come with the screws?!PuraVida19Just bought this today as a desk in my tiny house for working remotely. Got everything set up and together. Got to the last part and couldn’t find the final screws to screw it to the wall. Thought I was crazy and misplaced them (hard to do in am 8x24ft tiny house). Searched for a while and gave up and looked online. That’s when I learned that it doesn’t come with the 4 screws you need to mount it to the wall? What? Nowhere on the box or at the store does it say you need the extra 4 screws. Welp. Now it’s just laying on my tiny house floor taking up much needed floor space until I can get out again during a pandemic to buy the screws.3
IncompleteChrisRNI was disappointed the screws to attach to wall were not included nor did it say they would have to be purchased separately. So table is just in my floor because I cannot attach until I get appropriate screws.3
