Great Price for a good productJeffreyGreat addition to organize my office
Cubie StorageGailThis was perfect for what we needed
Best CompanionRobertKallex is the best. Great for storage, stylish and really helps with clutter.
Love this shelfCharlottePlenty of storage space, has been amazing in my room
love it but disappointed at the same time. SominI’ve been a big IKEA fan since I lived in Korea, so I had high expectations for the KALLAX. I love how sturdy it is, and the assembly was easy.
Unfortunately, one of the wooden panels arrived with the surface lifting/coming loose. I was really disappointed, especially because I trusted IKEA’s quality.
I live about 70 miles away and drove about an hour each way with my two young children to pick it up, so exchanging it would be very difficult for me.
I hope IKEA can help with this issue. I still love IKEA, but this was definitely disappointing.
Great storageJanelleSuper easy yo assemble and is a great addition for extra storage in my bedroom.
Multipurpose useAnonnyaThis is my second time purchasing this one. In my first apartment, I used it as a TV console; currently, I am using it as a bookshelf and I also have a dedicated compartment for my cat. Its ability to be customized makes it really unique.
BookcaseAmyPerfect. Thank you
versatile and easy to assembleHilaryAssembly was so straightforward my 10-year-old put it together herself -- she's since made it the base for her own furniture project. Sturdy and kid-proof.
BeautifulSamuelLove it looks good thinking of another
Little lighter than expectedSalman KhurshidI feel its a little less sturdy than the one in the showroom. Otherwise excellent
I granddaughters roomRoseFor extra storage , toys, clothing works great not so difficult to put together . She loves it . Pit a wooden dollhouse on top with some little people !
Love it but peg fell out AngelaI love the furniture … easy to put together but the one of the peg broke after having it a month.. so
Now trying to figure out how to replace and get the peg or if I can put a different shelf in it
Poor construction, dented panelMichaelWhen we built the unit the pieces did not fit together correctly and there were gaps between the pieces when it was completed. There was also a dented panel on the outside where the thin outer layer had broken, leaving a clear seam. We reached out to IKEA about this and they didn’t help after multiple attempts.
The quality of construction is extremely poor, even considering this is made of cheap materials. Save your money and buy something built with real wood.
Multifunctional shelving unitElaineWe are using this to organize our home office, with wood containers for storage and sorting of bills and documents. The wood containers, also from IKEA, can stack two high in each cubby. It’s all easy to see and access.
VersatileEIt works laying it on its side as well as upright. Just wish the price was less, especially when purchasing the inserts/ dividers.
Love this book shelfVickiI purchased this shelf unit 10 years ago and went I moved I needed another unit and at my surprise, I looked up Ikea and found that they still sold the same book shelf and I w a s very thrill
Best cubbies!ChristyI love these cubbie style shelves! Great for books and also baskets interspersed. I use in my sewing room to help keep me organized.
Kallax 4x2DebraWorked great in my craft room. Easy to put together and made with good quality materials.
Great StorageSandraI have these in a closet to hold Holiday decorations neatly. Perfect size for my storage containers. Love these shelves as reasonably priced and lasts.
