What can I do if my product is missing parts?

If you have received a product or package with missing parts, you can order the parts online, pick them up at an IKEA store or request a delivery through IKEA Customer Service, depending on which part is missing.

Missing Parts from Your Purchase

If a component is missing from your product, start by opening and checking all the boxes you brought home or had delivered, as some products are divided into multiple packages.
If parts are indeed missing, check the assembly instructions to see if the part has a 6- or 8-digit reference number.
Identify the missing part in the assembly guide (available at IKEA.pt under Product > Product Details > Assembly & documents > Assembly instructions). Check if the part has a 6- or 8-digit code. Please note: some small parts (screws, fittings, etc.) have a code, while others do not.

There is a 6- or 8-digit code

If you find the 6- or 8-digit code for the missing part, you can order spare parts via the Online form on IKEA.pt. We will ship the part directly to your home, free of charge, within 14 business days.
If you need the part urgently, most IKEA stores (excluding Planning Studios and Collection Points) have a selection of spare parts at their Customer Care desks. Availability varies, but if the piece is in stock, you can take it immediately.
If you visit an IKEA store and the piece is not in stock, we can arrange for it to be sent by post. It will be delivered to your address within 14 working days, free of charge.

There is no 6- or 8-digit code

If you cannot find a code for the missing part, we are here to help. You can contact IKEA Customer Care in-store or online.

    Before visiting your nearest IKEA store, please bring your purchase invoice or receipt. If you used your IKEA Family account at the time of purchase, you can access your receipt by logging in to your Purchase History. Go to the Customer Service desk once you arrive at the store.
    One of our employees will help you identify the missing part. If the part is in stock, you can take it with you immediately.
  • Contact IKEA Customer Service online
    If you prefer, you can talk to us online. In the chat, type "I want to talk to a co-worker" or call +351 219 899 945 to speak directly to an IKEA employee.
    We will help you identify the missing part and explain the next steps. For faster service, please have your order number or purchase invoice ready.
