There is only half the back plate.

The back panel of IKEA furniture products may be folded in half in a flat pack.

Please refer to the assembly instructions and unfold the folded plate.
If you do not have a back panel, please bring your receipt to the store's exchange and return desk or contact IKEA Customer Support Center.
