Not quite the right "fit"Mandy KristineLoved these flower boxes, however they did not fit correctly on my balcony railing. In order to keep them in place I had to use zip ties to keep it from tipping forward/falling off. Other than that they are lovely.

An OK flower box for balconiesAlanIt's metal with a pale blue finish (not turquoise). Comes with a matching wire holder that should hook onto most balcony railings. Durability unknown at this point especially if it is left on the balcony all winter. A good size for 4 or 5 small flowers or herbs.
There are no drain holes so there is a risk that the plants will drown if I don't check after every rain storm and pour off any extra water. I guess indoors the lack of a drain could be considered an advantage. But for outdoor use, its discontinued (and cheaper) plastic predecessor was better. It would hold up to about 2 cm of water in the bottom, but any extra water would drain away. And there was no risk that in time it would rust.
