Quality. . HmmYunjungI purchased a VALEVÅG mattress at the store today and just unpacked it at home. However, as soon as I unrolled it, I noticed that the stitching is coming apart and the threads are unraveling in several places. ​I am very disappointed as it looks like it's either defective or was previously used. Since I just opened it today, I would like to know the process for an immediate exchange or refund. I have attached photos of the damage for your reference.2
Extremely Disappointed With Mattress Quality and Refund ProcessSanthoshWe purchased this mattress expecting a true medium-firm feel, but it is extremely soft and lacks support. The moment you sit or lie down, you sink deeply into it, making it difficult even to get up from the bed. Within a short time, both my wife and I started experiencing back pain. If you are looking for a supportive mattress, especially for families with a newborn baby, I would not recommend this product. Sitting on the edge of the bed to feed or hold our baby became very uncomfortable because the mattress sinks so much. We first accepted a replacement mattress thinking the original was defective, but the replacement had the exact same issue. That confirmed this is simply how the mattress is designed. The support feels weak, almost like the springs have already collapsed. I wish I had known before purchasing that the “medium-firm” description does not match the actual feel at all. Very disappointing quality and support for the price.1
Poor Quality and Completely Different From Store DisplayMutahir AfzalBought this mattress from IKEA about a year ago and I am very disappointed with the quality. The sides became extremely saggy and weak within just one year of normal use. The edge support is so bad now that I actually fell twice while sitting on the side of the bed. Looking back, the side sagging issue was there from the beginning, but I ignored it at first thinking it would get better over time. Instead, it became worse. What’s frustrating is that the same mattress displayed in the store feels completely different, firm, supportive, and comfortable while the one I received softened and collapsed far too quickly. Last month I tried the same mattress again in the IKEA store and it felt completely different item. For a product that is supposed to last years, this level of sagging after only one year is unacceptable. I expected much better durability and consistency from IKEA.1

Hard wire down length of mattressCrystalThere’s a hard wire that goes from the top to the bottom of the bed making it uncomfortable to lay on. It’s not even centred so it has to be a defect. All the corners also are sunken and never expanded. It’s almost like there’s no springs in the corners or something. Would not recommend. Will be returning even though it’s a hassle 1

Very Poor Quality – Not Firm at AllSanthoshWe purchased this mattress expecting a medium-firm feel, but it is nowhere close to firm. It is extremely soft and squishy. The support is terrible and it feels like the springs have already collapsed or lost their strength. We also have a newborn baby, and this mattress makes things even more difficult. It’s almost impossible to sit comfortably on the bed to feed or hold the baby because the mattress sinks so much. Overall, this mattress provides very poor support and very poor quality for something advertised as medium firm. We are extremely disappointed with this purchase. Would not recommend. Don’t buy.1

Unfortunately, after only three months of use, the center of the mattress has developed a noticeable indent. When compared to the rest of the mattress surface, the middle has lost its resilience and sags leading to back discomfort.2

The comfort zones of our mattresses are simply zones that support your body in different ways to keep your spine aligned and create a good a sleeping position. Slightly softer springs around the hip and shoulder, so they can sink softly into the mattress.
