Valevag mattress - NOT medium firmRichardThis mattress has the advantage of being reasonably priced and comes well packaged and fairly easy to unpack and install. However, for a mattress that is billed as "medium firm" it in fact is quite soft and doesn't provide the expected support. The mattress came with a return option but the task of transporting it to an IKEA store was too daunting.2

Not firmMariaEven though we purchased the "firm" option, it's not firm at all. Soon as you lie down on it, it gives under your weight. Wish I could return it but the logistics are difficult as we don't have an IKEA nearby and transporting the mattress isn't exactly easy..2

Medium firm - is not as firm as it used to beDinahdisappointed that this new mattress that is supposed to be medium firm...is not firm. if anything...feels like an old mattress. Hard wire down length of mattressCrystalThere’s a hard wire that goes from the top to the bottom of the bed making it uncomfortable to lay on. It’s not even centred so it has to be a defect. All the corners also are sunken and never expanded. It’s almost like there’s no springs in the corners or something. Would not recommend. Will be returning even though it’s a hassle 1
Do not buyPaytonThis mattress is awful. It does not expand properly and the corners are still collapsed after full expansion. It is advertised as “medium firm” but it is very soft. You can feel the springs when you lay on it. Ended up returning. 1

Not a firm mattress HananWe tried this in the store and it felt a lot more firm than when we got it home. We left it for over a week to expand after releasing it from roll but no such luck. Can’t sleep on it because it sinks down to the slats- very uncomfortable. Will be returning it! 1
