Fall Apart CribEricIf your little one is an active sleeper you better be prepared to fix this crib almost nightly. The floating piece that holds the mattress does not stay intact at the lower level making the whole back panel fall apart. THIS CRIB IS UNSAFE!.1
Good bed, but...OluwatayoI purchased this for my toddler, hoping I could convert it to a toddler bed! Sadly, this was not the case. The original order did not come with the bed rail. I made a complaint at IKEA last week and was lucky to get a replacement; we got home only to realize it was a defect. Overall, I am unhappy with the purchase as I did not get the value for my money.1
Great!DeannaSolid simple crib. Like that it has the option to remove one side and add a toddler rail. Great quality for the price.5
Poor customer service at point of purchaseStacyI purchased this crib 6 years ago for my then son. No issues. I am now using a second time for my new infant son. His leg was caught in the spindles, causing a bruise. I left a (now deleted) review and was contacted by the vendor where I made the purchase. Although kind, they were not overly helpful. They offered me a gift card for the then purchase price and advised I would need to bring back the crib. To replace the crib with the exact same model —at todays price would mean I would need to pay $140 out of pocket. I requested an exchange for another product without monetary or financial exchange. The vendor denied this citing the item (which caused injury non the less) was 6 years old and past the 365 return policy date. Very disappointed.1
Does the job.DamienDoes the job.5

Perfect crib if you wantChanelPerfect crib if you want it in a small space! Works perfect for me because I’d simple and not big and bulky like other cribs.5
My baby loves itNadezdaLooks really good and much cheaper than other baby cribs5
Warning signs printed directly on both sideVerified BuyerThe crib is nice but we do not understand why black warning signs are printed on the crib on both extremes sides. How can we remove it, is that a defect of the product? For that reason we wouldn't recommend it, we live far away and are unable to come to exchange the product. This was never shown on the website OR in IKEA when we purchased it.3
Excellent productVerified BuyerExcellent product for the price you paid for.5
Well made crib for the priceVerified BuyerBought this crib for when the grandkids come to visit. Sturdy, well constructed.5
Question for IkeaAntonellaThis crib is beautiful and feels sturdy however there are black warnings printed right on the outside of the wood panels on either end which are not depicted in the pictures. How do you remove it???4
Perfect cribHappyMum11I wanted to revamp our nursery and this crib worked perfectly. Simple to install, sturdy, and didn’t overwhelm the room like our previous huge crib.5
Amazing... With one modificationVerified BuyerWe got one of these used. It's a great little crib, but it's not great when it comes to the details. It is incredibly loud when the baby kicks around and it's not very rigid. However - for about $10 in materials you can turn this into a terrific crib. Firstly, put felt on the feet. I used the self stick stuff, and trimmed it with an OLFA knife. It acts to absorb shocks when the baby kicks, so the whole crib moves less. Then - get yourself a tube of white acrylic/silicone caulk at your favorite box store. And then caulk the panels along all of the corners the same way you would a tub (squeeze a bead, then run your finger along it to smooth it out). I just did the outside faces, so that baby can't touch it from inside the crib. This does two things - it prevents the end panels from rattling around in their grooves, and it turns the whole thing into a big rigid box that won't flex, shake or move. After these two additions, it's basically a new crib and is comparable to many nicer ones. I went from we've made a terrible mistake to wow, this is awesome by the time I was done. Baby spent his first night in it last night and didn't wake himself up! So, hopefully Ikea can make these improvements themselves but until that day comes, this is a great crib only if you're willing to help it out.5
Perfect Crib all around.DavidI bought this crib about a month ago. Easy installation and it looks great. We haven't had a chance to use it yet because baby's not here yet. But we are super excited :)5
Verified BuyerBeautiful and sturdy product.5
Frames were dentedCherilynMy bed frames are severely dented and so is the baseboard, wrote in a week ago, provided all the images and had no responses from ikea. My mattress doesn't even fit in properly because of the defects and my baby is due in 2 weeks.1

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA we believe that sourced in a responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is solid wood?

Solid wood is one of our favourite materials and is part of our Scandinavian heritage. It is also a timeless material with many uses. Regardless of the wood species, it is durable, beautiful and renewable. We strive to use this raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste – and we also invest in facilities and logistics so that we can increase the use of recycled wood.
