Pantry reoragnizationKRISTIThis atractive container sits in my reorganized pantry and is large enough to hold fair amounts of dry goods like pasta, lentils, rolled oats and so on. With 5 people in our family, the pantry gets a lot of use and can become a disaster quickly! Tidies the space right up and looks nice too.5
Affordable Pantry OrganizationBBStewI did look around at other stores but found this the cheapest for my taste and what I needed. I like how there are different lids at different prices. The only thing that I would say is that I wished the smaller sizes of the jars were the same shape... but that’s me being super picky.4
Great for snacks!bailzI work in an office and refill the snacks quite often. These jars are large enough for odd sized crackers, chips, cookies, nuts, etc. However, I tried to add fruit to one with the lid on, and the glass fogged up -- too humid for fruit. Anything dry is great. A planter was broken the other day, so I repurposed one for a monstera plant. Very versatile. And no hot water in our office (hah) so I'm not worried about it cracking. I enjoy that the lids are sold separately, as I don't need lids for every use of this product.5
GlassLisadykhI bought this and cleaned under med hot water and glass cracked instantly.1
Ice4After starting the day on a high I am ending it on a low. I brought two of these jars today - along with some other stuff - and one of them broke when I tried to sterilized it. Now I used hot water from the same source on both at the same time but the second jar I filled is the one that broke. I can only assumed that second jar had a manufacturer's fault but since this is the 1st item I ever brought from Ikea that broke I am questioning its quality control.1
My search for holding my spoons and ladles endedBirdie2610I got this product and so happy with it easy to clean and looks amazing on my kitchen countertop5
Cookie JarPKLRI bought two of these a while ago and they make great cookie jars. So I bought a couple more to fill them for the grandkids.5
Perfect candle holderMichael222Great candle holder for both small and large tea light candles.5
EdmABWould have given it a 5 if it was oven proof.4
WARNING! It cracks under hot waterhalifax_ikeaI bought this product today and wanted to sterilize with hot water before using to store some flour in it. As soon as I added the hot water, the jar cracked from the bottom and at least in 2-3 other places. I barely saved myself from burning with the hot water. Either IKEA should put a disclaimer or take out this product from their shelves.1

Helps you take care of food – and the planet

If you want to reduce food waste but sometimes think it’s a bit of a pain to take care of your food, this might help. IKEA 365+ food storage products make it easier to store, save and bring food with you on the go. To get to know more about peoples’ needs, we visited families in several countries. We found out that it’s all about versatility and simplicity.

You've just put leftovers after eating into a food container, but can't find a lid that fits. Or maybe you've put a food container in the fridge with food in it, but you can't see what's inside the food container and completely forget about the food. These were things we heard time and time again when interviewing families about their experiences. “We wanted to develop products to make this easier,” says David Granath, a product developer who has worked with the project. “They should be simple and flexible. And easy to combine and use in ways that suit every household.”

No extra work

“It can involve things like using the same food container for several steps and just changing the lid. There shouldn't be any unnecessary extra work along the way,” says David. Transparent containers increase the chances that the food is consumed. And it must be easy to adapt the containers to serve different needs. “People asked for a coherent system for food storage. Not complicated special gadgets, yet rather simple and straightforward products that can be used often.”

Smart and super simple

The IKEA 365+ food containers and lids can be combined and also come in different materials and sizes. They are super simple – and that's the point. “We've put a lot of work into them, for example by seeing to it that all the different parts fit together. But the product itself is simple in a smart way.” We can't solve the entire food waste problem – but we can make it possible for everyone to be part of the solution.
