This pleated blind can be mounted in any way to block out light from the moon, sun or street lamps. Pull from top to bottom or from bottom to top – or just cover a section in the middle of the window

Product details

Suitable for rooftop windows, tilt windows and turn windows.

The blind can be cut and re-cut to fit a smaller window. Ensure that you do not exceed maximum cut length.

Drill-free mounting using the 4 included brackets with adhesive tape. The adhesive has been tested and approved for smooth glass surfaces.

The blind is cordless for increased child safety.

The assembly instructions include a table with numbers corresponding to those on the fabric and rails to facilitate precise measuring and cutting.

The rails at the top and bottom allow you to mount the pleated blind precisely, covering any gap.

Easy to maneuver using either of the plastic handles at the top or bottom.

Depending on your needs, you can pull the blind from the top down or from the bottom up. You can also adjust the blind so it only covers a section in the middle.

The block-out fabric effectively blocks out light and completely darkens your room, helping to set the perfect ambience for a movie night or to secure a good night’s sleep.

  • Highly recommended to attach to surfaces made of glass.

    For window frames or surfaces not recommended for the adhesive, mount the brackets with screws using a drill or screwdriver. The brackets are prepared with small holes for this purpose.

    To reposition or reuse on another window, remove adhesive-mounted brackets with plastic hand scraper. Replace with new brackets available cost-free at IKEA stores or contact IKEA Customer Services for help.

    For door windows or windows taller than 130 cm, mount 2 pleated blinds to cover the whole surface.

    The top rail of the 58.5 cm wide blind can be cut max. 38.5 cm.

    If you need to adapt the dimensions of the pleated blind to your window, cut the top/bottom rails and the rods with a metal saw. Cut the fabric with a safety knife.

    The included tool makes it easier to get straight, accurate lines when adapting the size of your rail/rod/fabric. It also protects your fingers.

    For a smooth, friction-free glide, apply a few drops of silicone spray lubricant to the lock mechanism in the brackets. Ensure the spray is suitable for plastic and metal.

    Can also be used in bathrooms.

Doesn't Work with all Window typesShelleyIt might be an excellent option for some windows, but it doesn't work for sliders. This curtain runs on side rails that attach to the window frame, not the casing. So, if your window isn't completely flat, it won't work.3

You need some elbow grease and to triple check measurementsBrunoI think for the price, this is a great product. Cutting the metal bars and the frame does take some time and elbow grease, but I was able to do it with an old dull hacksaw. The blinds pull up and down pretty smoothly and stay in place even in my skylight window that is quite tilted. The one challenge I had is you have to subtract from your window width measurement, to the measurement of the frame when you cut it, to account for the plastic end caps. The first time I cut the width, I realized the plastic end cap added an inch of width to the frame on either side, so I had to cut again. So make sure to take into account those plastic end caps when measuring the width!4
So frustrating StephanieI like that these blinds are inexpensive but that's the only reason I could think of for justifying giving them 1 star. I should have paid heed to all the reviews saying how incredibly frustrating these are! Not at all worth the low price. I'll be spending the money to get proper blinds for my other windows and I'm glad I didn't buy them all at once! I don't even know what they look like up because I'm too annoyed to keep going. 1
False Blackout Blinds?SangkyuI purchased and installed Hornvallmo blinds in hopes of blocking out lights coming through from a skylight that has been bothering my sleep. However, after opening up the product from its packaging, I noticed that the material did not have any paint or coating, which would block light going through the blinds. Despite my suspicions, I installed the blinds anyway and was disappointed by how they did little to nothing to block out light. It was as if I had just installed a sheet of translucent paper on my skylight. Perhaps I received a package that had a faulty blind?1
