Product details

The sturdy solid pine frame has natural variations in grain, color and texture, giving every piece a unique look. And it has been stained and lacquered making it more durable and easy to care for.

You can sit up comfortably in bed thanks to the high headboard – just prop some pillows behind your back and you will have a comfortable place to read or watch TV.

Beautiful craftsmanship all the way around. Why not place it in the middle of the room to create impact?

There’s plenty of space under the bed for storage boxes – great for stowing extra duvets and sheets.

The high footboard keeps bed textiles from falling onto the floor while you sleep.

Adjustable bed sides allow you to use mattresses of different thicknesses.

1 divider in each drawer; can be removed to make room for big items.

LURÖY slatted bed base with curved slats helps to absorb your body weight and supports your body, while the open construction allows air to circulate and keeps the mattress fresh.

GarbageDavebiggest piece of crap. Holes don't line up. Hardware breaks. (if you are gonna charge this much for crap.... MAYBE THINK OF INCLUDING EXTRA CRAPPY HARDWARE. Have to wait until tomorrow to drive back and get another piece of hardware. Such a joke. Don't waste your money2
Perfect for our guest roomBarbaraI recommend this product5
Easy to assemble DoryGood quality and was easy to assemble5
Well, it’s cheap and serves its purpose.JamesIt’s been awhile since I ordered anything from IKEA and I, usually, honestly, enjoy putting things together but I found the instructions for assembly of this bed atrocious. In an attempt to have universal instructions by using just pictures, there are a couple of spots that are extremely vague. I ended up having to disassemble things a couple of times. As some of you know, IKEA products are not really durable enough for reassembling multiple times. Also, even though I used a rubber mallet, the wood is so soft it left indents.4
Robust productDhirajThe overall design is very appealing. Totally liked the center support beam, definitely an improvement over the older design. Most of all the queen-size frame still manages to impart a spacious feel in a compact room.5
it squeaks so much after having for a little under a year!JaxonMy parents bought me the bed set (matching end tables and dresser) as it fits the style of my room perfectly. But, as time went on it started squeaking not too much but now if i even just slightly position myself differently while sleeping i wake up because it squeaks too loudly and i tighten every single screw on the unit and it still does it. I do not recommend!!1

Won’t stop squeaking! JenniferWas great at first, easy to assemble, no issues. Now approximately 6 months later it squeaks with the slightest movement. Tried tightening all the screws and hardware. Sprayed with WD40, squeak came back after 1 night. We bought this bed with matching end tables (2) and dressers (2), so spent a good chunk of money.. It’s interrupting our sleep and when one of moves, we both wake up. I wouldn’t recommend. Unfortunately we are most likely going to replace the bed frame if we can’t find a solution to the squeaking.1

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA we believe that sourced in a responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is solid wood?

Solid wood is one of our favourite materials and is part of our Scandinavian heritage. It is also a timeless material with many uses. Regardless of the wood species, it is durable, beautiful and renewable. We strive to use this raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste – and we also invest in facilities and logistics so that we can increase the use of recycled wood.
