Very Sturdy Bed for TeenKimWe are happy with this recent purchase for our teen. There is ample storage in the drawers below and the shelving on the sides are great as far as keeping books and collectibles organized. It is a fairly large bed though, so be sure to measure everything out (with drawers open) prior to purchasing. The only downside was that we unfortunately received one shelving piece that had no pre-drilled holes. It was inconvenient to have to drive to the storefront for one piece in order to continue the build, but the customer service was great.

Damaged product received with parts missing and paint removedIqraThe paint on headboard was on a white thing ; as attached in the picture), and when that white thing came if, there is no paint on that part of the headboard, and now my new bed looks like paint scraped off.. some part of the bed were damaged and one screw was missIng, so technically our new bed has damaged parts, paint scraped off and one screw missing. And no i do not want to return it because i need a bed to sleep and i waited so long for this delivery and spent hours making this ned. So not happy with ikea
A good final product, with awful design.AdamI've never found myself as frustrated with an Ikea build, nor with as many broken pieces of hardware, as I did building this bedframe. Although it finally came together functionally, it would not have done so had I not had access to a significant supply of excess material and fasteners. No less than 5 of the included metal c-clamps, that rotate to latch the pieces together split or bent irreparably during construction, and the main support beam required use of offmarket clamps to catch the central connecting link, as the tolerances were too poor to function as designed.
If you need a lot of space to store stuff in drawes under your bed, buy this, but expect to have to MacGuyver it to make it function effectively. For a 600 dollar piece, after tax, it's an infuriating disappointment.
Almost PerfectAshleyWe recently bought this bed frame - the storage was the main selling point.. The frame, once assembled, feels sturdy. The only reason we purchased this frame vs. another frame (from another company), is the fact that there are 4 drawers - most other frames we could find only had 2.
The assembly was quite a pain. Two of the camlock nuts broke - I would suggest buying some spares before assembly. We picked out some spares our local hardware store and got sturdier pieces (the ones provided were quite brittle).
I also really dislike that it’s a separate headboard AND it needs to be mounted to the wall. I knew this before purchasing (thanks to reviews), but I do wish the design was different.
Overall we’re happy. Hoping this lasts a few years, at least.
Brimnes Double BedMatthewThe bed seems decent and assembly wasn't too difficult. That being said, the headboard doesn't physically attach to the frame, and due to the shelves, it can't be used fully if placed up against a wall (in a corner). Overall, it's a nice bed and the storage drawers underneath are quite large.

It worksAndrewI'm quite happy with the amount of storage space that this bed has. My mattress feels better on the slats than it did on my box spring, which was nice after building this thing lol. Only issue so far would be the headboard. I'm in an older home with plaster and don't want to screw holes in the wall. I put some felt pads on the back of the headboard to not mark the wall and propped a piece of wood in the center of the headboard to act as a leg and the weight of the bed holds it up fine. I'll more than likely be drilling a few holes to brace the headboard to the bedframe with some bolts and getting a bracket so I can properly mount the leg as you can't see it unless you look under the headboard.
Practical small living space bedMary - AliceThis bed is perfect for small space living . It has a ton of drawer storage both sides of bed. Headboard side shelves work great for books or phone chargers placement. Assembly does take hours as there are many small parts .

Looks and works wellLucieI really like this bed frame has it makes good use of available space in our guest bedroom. Just need to resolve the issue with the slats that support the mattress so we can use it
Sad to see changesKarenI love the bed but sad to see Ikea replace parts that were once metal to plastic. Some of the locking nuts to put the bed together were plastic and sides of them broke off. The old ones from years back were metal and had ni chance of snapping when used as they should be. Happy with bed, just upset that some of my parts are sub quality
Could have been the bestRoozbehAfter years of using this bed, I got tired and shift to lighter bed. It a good bed. It provides large space for storing anything from blankets to clothes or accessories. It is almost the perfect bed, but the flaws are unavoidable.
1: The lack of headboard without the bulky add-on. I never understood that design! It was a big flaw.
2: The minor issue in small bedrooms is that it is almost impossible to have space to use all 4 storages. One side can be useless or become a storage without ease of access.

Worst setup of IKEA FurnitureCraigThe frame setup is very unforgiving and things need to fit perfectly before even attempting to place the rotator screws in place. If you mess it up, you can't pry them out. Here's a Reddit post from 7 YEARS AGO stating the same issues I'm having and obviously they haven't done anything to attempt to fix the problem since it's 7 years. Read it when you get to step 5 and 6 and take some of their advice to avoid somewhat of a headache:

Good Bed Once It's TogtherLyleThis is a good functioning bed for a child that requires lots of storage in a small area. The bed frame itself is a BEAR to put together and you will need extra hands and allot of patience.
