They are not nearly as warm (yellow) toned as pictured online, they are neutral coloured and do pull grey. Which was far better for my decor, so I am very happy. Just beware if you are buying online. Unfortunate as this picture displayed would turn those off of buying who are indeed looking for a neutral greige color curtain. They are excellent quality!5

Not quite blockout, but very close to being one! They make the room very dark. We love the thickness and feel of those curtains. Great color! Haven't noticed any shrinkage after the wash and preventive stretching while still damp.

Room darkening fabric

The room darkening fabric lets in a small amount of daylight, when it is brighter outside and darkens the room. It prevents glare on TV’s and digital screens. It gives you a strong sense of privacy as people cannot see in day or night. Silhouettes and light indoors are barely perceived.

Material

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
